I ordered these for my wife, so this review is based on her opinions ... First, she reports that the material is soft and comfortable, but she really likes the lightweight feel of these shorts. Second, the fit is to her liking - she prefers slightly baggy shorts as opposed to the skin tight short shorts that the kids these days wear. It's not that she disapproves of how women dress, she just personally prefers her clothing not to cling to her skin. Finally, the mist blue color is nice and it does appear to slightly change color depending on the lighting (it can appear almost lavender or aqua in certain lighting conditions). Obviously, some of the things she likes may turn others off. My wife wears a size medium normally, and these Spyder shorts in a size medium provide the loose fit she likes. So if you prefer a tighter fit keep that in mind when ordering. Also, the material is light, but the quilted weave contributes to the material bunching up in areas. Again, these shorts do not seem designed to be worn as skin tight athletic shorts, but rather more loose fitting. Overall, my wife really likes the fit and feel, but fit/feel can be subjective so these shorts, while nice, may not be for everyone!

I'm always a size medium and the medium fit me perfectly. These shorts are made out of a very stretchy, soft, seersucker type fabric and that makes them super comfortable. The waist band is high, at the natural waist, and the legs have tulip type leg openings, so are not straight across. These run a bit big in the legs for me, which makes them more of a wear around the house type short. I got the white ones, which are not see though, but I wouldn't wear any underwear underneath that isn't your natural skin color, as I think it might show through. Perfect for hanging out at home on a hot summer day.

I really like these shorts! They're very lightweight and comfortable. I wasn't sure what to expect from the material, but it's like a soft, stretchy gauze. They're not see through in black but may be so in lighter colors. I think they'll fit true to size, but I sized up for comfort. I'm 5'9, 170lbs, size 12 or large, but I ordered an extra large. They aren't super roomy, so if you're in between sizes, you could go with the larger size. The legs openings are not too wide and the length isn't super short.

These light weight terry cotton shorts are exactly what I have been wanting to find! They are perfect for wearing around the house or out and about. I purposely ordered a larger size so they would be a super comfortable and relaxed fit. The color is like a baby blue which I like. The elastic on the waist is stretchy and does not hurt my tummy. I absolutely love these shorts and definitely would buy again!

I love these shorts! The fit is perfect—I’m usually a size 4, and ordered a medium size. They have a nice relaxed feel without being too baggy. Spyder Women's Shorts - Lightweight Terry Pull-On Mid-Rise Summer Shorts for Women with Pockets are comfortable, but not particularly fashionable. That's fine; I love things that I can wear around the house casually. With a sweatshirt, I can run around the neighborhood wearing these shorts, as they are a very cute color. I like the light blue. While the shape of the shorts is athleisure-adjacent, the color is stylish. It's a sky-blue, which works with workout shirts and hoodies. The cotton is very comfortable. I didn't even want to take them off! As a matter of fact, these could be used as sleep shorts, they are so lightweight and breathable. Be warned, however, that these shorts are extremely baggy and if you enjoy flattering looks, even for sportswear, these probably won't be your first choice. They really are made for comfort. I take Small-Medium, and these were pretty billowy on me. But again, they are the definition of comfort, with barely any weight, and very breathable.

I got these and Immediately went to put them on because we're currently going through some sort of heatwave in the Midwest. As soon as I opened the package I noticed a faint aroma. After sniffing around I realized it was the shorts. They have the faint smell of a solvent like Acetone orrr jet fuel...? or maybe a combination of the two. If I choose to keep these I will definitely have to wash them before wearing them and hope the aroma dissipates. These are very comfortable. The pockets are nice and deep. I can easily put my large Samsung S25 Ultra phone in any of the pockets along with my keys, wallet, etc., and not worry about it falling out. They are perfect for casual wear although a little too baggy for my taste -I wear medium but I could have ordered a small. Are they suitable for athletic activities?: I could see golfing in these, but I wouldn't wear them for athletic activities that would make me sweat like jogging, tennis, etc., because the material -at least with the white ones- is slightly sheer and therefore would become see-through. For example, when trying on the shorts in the bathroom I could tell the different colors of my underpants through the shorts. So be sure to wear matching skin-tone underpants if you get these shorts in Color: White.
