Don’t do it! If you need to paint anything at all this is not for you. It does not come with nozzle sizes that actually spray a decent amount of spray. It would take days to paint a single wall with this thing. I passed my return window before I had a chance to start painting so I guess I’ll airbrush my finger nails with it.

This thing is AMAZING. I built some lattice sight walls under my deck and needed to paint the wood to match my deck. Once I got the paint diluted to the proper viscosity (and there's a tool included with this paint sprayer to help determine that!) it took no time at all to get painting! The nozzle makes a reliable and steady fan-shaped spray of paint in either a horizontal or vertical orientation, and I was able to switch between the two without getting paint on my hands, which was nice. In two passes I was able to get every surface of the lattice so that it looks great form every direction. I can not even conceive of how many hours this would have taken with a roller or a brush. What you can see in this photo (like I said, two coats from two different angles) took about an hour - and that was my first time using this paint sprayer and figuring out what I was doing along the way. I highly recommend plastic drop sheeting and painter's tape to mask off everything you don't want to paint, because this doesn't make a crisp line, it kind of fuzzes out. The whole painting operation is a mist or a fine splatter directed in a pretty reliable direction, but sharp edges will need some planning and care. It's about as loud as a hair dryer , that's basically what the back end of this is - it just sucks air in and blows it out (but in this device, it doesn't heat the air), a single trigger makes it blow and also controls the paint. I was glad to have earplugs because of the whine it emits the whole time it's running. I learned to use the trigger precisely enough that I could turn the paint flow on and off without stopping the blower fan... you'll figure it out pretty quickly. No matter how much setup and cleanup you do, this is going to save you an unbelievable amount of time and effort, and all you have to do is plug it into the wall. This is a winner and I will be using it for EVERYTHING I have to paint from now on! Cleanup takes a little while of running water through it and then washing the heck out of all the parts, but it's not difficult and it wasn't any messier than anything else with paint ever is. Apparently paint thinner is an outdated technology and you use water to thin paint now... this was news to me, but it smelled a lot better than I expected so it was a welcome update.

This is a good quality paint gun for the price. It is pretty easy to use and clean once you're done. The nozzles where the paint comes out can be somewhat difficult to completely clean, but if you can clean them before the pain dries, it's easy to rinse off.

I've never had a paint gun before but this summer I want to redo the deck, railings, etc so figured this will make the job easier. In the mean time, I had a craft project to do and thought I would test this out and get a board sprayed. It took me a little while to figure out the nozzles and patterns, and then get it cleaned out after but the board was painted and it looks smooth. It was a lot of work for such a small project but for the deck project I think this will be a life saver. it is all plastic so I worry about how it would stand up to routine use, but for occasional DIY I think it's great to get started.

I have used this spray gun on several different projects now and sprayed everything from clear polyurethane to water-based enamel and it does a good job that being said it definitely has some caveats. For starters the individual nozzles are labeled with a very small stamp on the back that goes towards the gun when installed on the paint canister which makes it difficult to pick out the nozzle that you need especially if you didn't clean it very well the last time. This problem could be easily corrected by simply referencing the color of the nozzles as opposed to just the size. So to save you some time, at least on my kit, the turquoise nozzle is 1.5, the maroon nozzle is 1.8, the white nozzle is 2.2, and the black nozzle is 2.6. The next issue that I have is that it's either on or off; what I mean by that is you can't adjust the fan speed you can only adjust the flow of air through the nozzle by adjusting how far you pull the trigger. Once you get past these two minute issues this spray gun works quite well the instructions are a little difficult to read I think in part due to the translation however they are clear enough to get the job done. As far as ease of cleaning I think it's about as easy as any other comparable spray gun however it's still a spray gun so expect to spend some time with your favorite solvent or in the sink getting the old paint out. Overall I would recommend this it seems to have a powerful motor and lays down a nice even spray pattern. The included nozzles are helpful to make sure that you get the coverage you want and or need for the project you are working on. The spray pattern adjusts easily and if you don't have the steadiest of hands the governor on the back of the trigger is also easily adjustable. I highly suggest that you test spray first to make sure that you have the correct nozzle for your paint and that you get used to the distance you need to be away from the project as this varies depending on the viscosity of the paint and the nozzle that you choose.

This was super easy to use. We painted some existing furniture so we could update them with our new color scheme (black and white). Make sure you clean thoroughly once you’re done using so you don’t have any issues for your next project.

I got this for a paint project we have been putting off. My son's bedroom, which he has now grown out of, has Cleveland Cavaliers colors (black, red, and gold). I'm not looking forward to all the primer and paint to get it back to neutral. Anyhoo... I was looking forward to using this to make the job easier and was disappointed at the unboxing to learn that I would have to thin my paint quite a bit. The box does include a tool to help assure your thinned paint viscosity is appropriate for the unit.... but I wish the description had mentioned this up front. I am looking forward to using it when we stain and seal our wood floors in the spring.
