  • Give This a Try!
Size: X-Large Color: Black
Almost every single one of the dozen or so bike shorts I've owned has been well made of good fabric and at the correct size, fits me well, and doesn't ride up my thigh. These are no exception; I'm 6 ft and about 190 lbs., and the XL size fits perfectly. Fabric and workmanship aside, my primary desire from riding shorts is how long I can ride without discomfort. My threshold is fifty miles, i.e., I want shorts I can wear for a fifty-mile ride without suffering; this comes down to the quality of the pad. On that criterion, these acquit themselves nicely. Based on an initial visual and tactile examination of the pad, I was initially doubtful I could survive a fifty-mile ride in these because the pad is not particularly thick (despite the vendor's claim.) So I approached my fifty-mile threshold slowly - twenty on the first several rides, then a thirty next, a forty after that, and finally a fifty. I was pleasantly surprised to discover that I could ride that far without complaint, and this has caused me to doubt how well I can judge a pad by my usual visual and tactile ('squeeze test') method. Apparently, the best way to tell is to actually wear the shorts and go on a ride! If you want shorts with a pad that allows you to ride a long distance, give these a try. I highly recommend them. ... show more

  • DIGGING THESE NEW DIFFERENT DUDS
Size: X-Large Color: Black
Being the organizer and leader of a large social bicycle club here in Fort Lauderdale with over 1750 members, over 100 official tours and growing daily, the safety, health and well-being of our riders is always priority one. The same goes for our mounts as well. It is discussed before every slow roll. And one thing all my members know about me is that I love customization and personalization. And if it serves both safety and customization then roll on I say! My local bike shop Cycling Forza in Coral Springs could tell you how much they make from our patronage. We spend tons on toys and accessories that just make the rides more fun, more enjoyable, more convenient. And not just for technical stuff but for lots of other fun stuff as well, gadgets, toys and accessories are always welcome. I like to gift away some small safety item to our new members at the beginning of each slow roll, most often it will be a safety whistle to wear while riding. Sometimes the gifting goes to another level. It might be a lighting kit, a set of pedals or grips, locking kits, occasionally even a pair of gloves or a helmet. I encourage my members to keep their mounts very well maintained in order to not get left behind (in reality we would never let anyone get left behind). Anything that keeps you out of danger and improves the experience of riding is for us. This pair of SPORTNEER Padded Bicycle Shorts for men may certainly improve your slow roll if you do not already have high quality, well designed and manufactured cycling clothes. These fit differently than most of the shorts and biking pants that pack my dresser drawer to overflowing. I have purchased nearly every one online. On Amazon. They know my sizes by now and always make the suggestion for the size I should be ordering. So I went with the size suggested. It just might be the way this short is cut. While it fits my skin-they fit very long. Almost a length between shorts and pants. They are certainly comfortable. The issue may be the waist and thigh bands this pair of shorts sports. They are a tad tall. Both together might add a few inches to the length. And therein lies the 'different fit' noted. But they are certainly top shelf quality. The name brand is well known and mostly loved. The padding is more than sufficient. The additional pockets are an awesome feature. Absolutely digging my new duds. And as always remember: Ride Safe, Ride Strong, Ride Happy!! ... show more

  • Well-padded and comfortable!
Size: X-Large Color: Black
I'm a bigger guy, so going to the gym has been a priority for me ever since I've had the time. Sitting on those gym bikes and even my actual bicycle with regular shorts can lead to soreness pretty quickly, especially if you're not used to it. These fit well without feeling too big for a guy my size and also not too tight to where it's uncomfortable or to the point where it looks unpleasant (they actually look pretty nice). They're pretty high quality feeling and while the pocket is barely big enough to fit my S23, the padding definitely makes up for it on keeping me from being sore. ... show more

  • Good cycling shorts with decent padding
Size: X-Large Color: Black
I've had these out on my routine road bike rides a couple of times now and they're a good pair of cycling shorts. They're well made and the padding is ample for starters. The price is right too. There are many brands that aren't any better that cost more. Other good things about these: the waist band is wide enough and snug enough without being overly snug. The same can be said of the leg openings. They fit just snug enough. I also like that these have a pretty long inseam. Per the sizing chart, I got the XL and it fits fine. Maybe even roomy in some ways but at least it's not baggy. Its got pockets - even a zippered pocket - that some might find useful but I don't personally make use of them. I don't like things stored on my legs while cycling. That's why I wear a jersey with plenty of pockets in the back. Maybe they'll be useful post ride to tuck my phone some time. Maybe. ... show more

  • Nice pockets, and good cushioning (chamois) that's equivalent to my name brand shorts
Size: X-Large Color: Black
This fit as expected based on the sizing chart and the XL fit me well enough at 5'7" and 200 lbs. The pockets are a nice feature for me as I prefer to have my phone on my thigh rather than in my jersey. These shorts are too long for me and are probably better suited for someone closer to 6' tall, but it was only a minor annoyance as the bottom cuff tended to rub the back of my knees. The cushion built in was of appropriate size and density and seems comparable to my Pearl Izumi shorts. Overall I have found these to be impressive shorts for the price, and I'm happy with the cushioning and pockets. If they were less long I would give them 5 stars, but if you are taller than me these should be a perfect choice. ... show more
