Great bib, BUT ... I saw all the reviews saying "these run small" and I thought ah that's just a bunch of fatties thinking everything should be supersized. Nope! I'm 5'9" 150 - squarely a medium. I thought if these run small, that's okay, a tight medium actually fits me well. Nope! The straps are cutting into my shoulders/traps and the legs are so tight that I've basically got muffin top thighs sticking out of the leg holes. Now I've got to reorder a large.

I just received these today and after insuring that they fit in all the right ways I took them for a test ride. I’m very impressed. I was mountain biking today and the Kiss chamois did it’s job very nicely. A road bike test in the future will assess the longer distance effectiveness of the chamois. The fabric is nice and the leg grippers are substantial. I’m 6 ft and around 165 lbs and a medium fits me snug but not too tight. I had trouble sizing Castelli bibs in the past so I’m guessing they changed their fit dynamics to better suit the US market. I would order your normal size. UPDATE - I like these so much I ordered a 2nd pair. I got the blue one this time and it's quite fetching. I like the look of the green one but harder to pair color wise with my jerseys.

Love the fit of these but the pad is a bit lacking. I am 76inch ( 193cm) and 185lbs (84kg) and got the Large. Love the fit on the legs. Tight but not overly just the way I like it. The grip band is great and I will only get bibs with this setup. At my height the shoulders bunch and do become uncomfortable after time but not much different then other brands. If I only sized by my height I would be wearing a 3XL and be swimming in them so I will not ding them there. Problem is I keep hearing about this Kiss2 pad and all but it is not all that good. went on a 36mi ride the day after getting them and was hurting for the first half and just numb for the second half. Did an hour trainer ride a few days later and it was better but still not that great. I will keep them in the rotation but keep looking for something else as the go to. I will try and update on the Pad after a few more rides.

Castelli makes a proven, quality and comfortable bibshort. As a cyclist you only have three points of contact with your bike: your hands, your feet and your butt. If you enjoy going on long rides you need to maximize comfort at these three points. Buy good cycling shoes (Sidi for me), buy good cycling gloves and, above all, buy quality bibshorts like the Castelli Competizione. You will be able to ride longer, more comfortably and your butt will love you for it. Ride On!

I had a few pairs of $40,$60,$100 bibs from cheap to decent ones that shrunk or fell apart. I decided to buy some good ones since I started training harder and these didn't disappoint they are like night and day compared to the other bibs! The Lycra peels on and feels like part of my skin. Super Aero and fast! If your serious about cycling and your training buy these asap and stop buying cheap bibs now! Seller is awesome as well I recommend getting from then they have the best customer service I've experienced and answered all my questions.

These are simply the finest bicycling shorts I have owned. They are also my first big shorts which I have to say make a huge difference in comfort. Do check the size chart, I had to buy one size up. Incredibly comfortable and they stay put on long rides. The big advantage of bib shorts is that there’s no waistband digging into you on long rides. Now I know why the pros choose bibs. The chamois is near perfection. Very comfortable on long rides. I now have two pairs now and don’t want to wear my other shorts.

I've started riding longer, and needed something that would be comfortable and affordable. The Castelli fit my requirements. They run a little tight in the length (I'm 6'2" and bought a large) but I'd buy them again in that same size, as they've stretched out enough. I would definitely recommend.
