I've accidentally dropped it a few times with no issues. The kickstand comes in handy very often through the week.     • A solid case that is sure to protect your phone

This case has a great feel. It is sturdy and will be sure to protect your phone. The back of the case add thickness to the area surrounding the camera bar that extends the length and width of the case. Your camera bar will not see any contact with any flat surface you choose to lay your phone down. If this was not enough, there is a protecting ridge around the lens/light surface that will remove any doubt about contact. But. ##The Kickstand -- If you use the kickstand - it will inevitably break. It is a slab of plastic about a millimeter thick that swings out from the case. There is no detent to indicate when the hinge has rotated enough to support the weight of the case. So in order to support the phone , you have to swing the hinge all the way out putting all of the stress on the plastic hinge. The kickstand on my case is not broken. I just have ZERO confidence in the design. I won't be using it. This is not why I bought the case. Just be aware of this. ##The Volume Buttons -- The two case buttons dedicated to operating the volume rocker on the Pixel phone feel EXACTLY the same to touch. It's a roll of the dice whether you are going to hit the right button, 50/50. The buttons are indicated with recessed "+" and "-" characters. No good. The volume buttons should have raised arrows - simple 3 line design, at the top of the volume up button, and at the bottom of the volume down button - so that you can actually FEEL which button is which. These are pretty minor issues compared to the solidness of the case and it should provide exceptional protection for your phone. ... show more

I've used this type of case on a few different phones now. The only downside is that I wear the coating/paint off the back of the case then it gets a weird texture after a couple years. Really nice if you like larger cases to fit your hand around. Lots of protection and padding from dropping. It does collect fingerprints but should be fine if you clean your phone at least once a week. The stand did stop staying in place after over a year of use, but it can be removed if it becomes annoying. Great case overall ... show more
