So I was one of the lucky ones that was able to get the new Claw 8, but I could not find the MSI case anywhere. I saw this recommendation on reddit, and thought I would check it out. Glad I did. The case is well built to handle a drop. Hard soft shell case so it should give a bit of bounce to help deflect impact. There are corner bumpers within the case to add extra protection. Along with that, there is a pocket to place your charging cables and outlet. Overall, I am very happy with the case. I feel confident it would help keep my device safe. In terms of travel, depth is close to the size of 3 textbooks stacked, which means it'll fit in my laptop backpack, without jutting out too much - no issues placing under the seat in front of me during flights. Length/width also is fairly aligned to my backpack, so I can either have it sit at the bottom of my backpack or set it length wise with no issues.

I purchased this case because with a silicone case on the device, it wouldn't fit in the case it came with. The device does NOT sit snugly in the case even with the case on the device but it isn't enough for me to worry about it getting broken. There is enough space in the top pocket to fit a foldable travel keyboard, mouse and the Legion Gos charger. There is a piece of soft fabric that separated the screen from your accessories. I am overall satisfied with the product, I just with these cases came with an actual carry handle. The strap they provide is more of an afterthought and I wouldn't trust carrying my expensive device but just that strap.

This is another very well made Spigen product. The Legion Go fits while in a protective sleeve, and all my accessories fit in the zipper area, too. Both the zippers on the case are smooth and snag-free. They aren't loose or sloppy, though. The shells zipper requires direct pressure to open or close. The accessory zipper is much easier to move, though again, neither is sloppy or loose in any way. Adds a bit of weight to the Go, which already has some heft to it. It's fantastic, though, and fits in my travel bag in front of my laptop.

This should not be advertised for the MSI Claw 8 AI+. While it technically fits inside, you can't even carry it's power adapter in the case with it because it's so tall in the case. Normally I carry a power adapter, Xreal glasses and a mouse in the case with my claw and I couldn't get any of those 3 items to work in this case. That being said this is a very durable and well made case. I hate to give it 3 stars, because it's a 5 star product, but it shouldn't be advertised for the Claw.

Only thing this is missing from the original is the port to charge the device while in the case. Otherwise you actually gain the ability to additionally carry: a portable USB-C hub, the charging brick, an extra DisplayPort AND HDMI cable, a pair of angled USB-C adapters, a reasonably sized mouse & keyboard, a microfiber cloth, an extra USB-C cable, and an extra couple of micro-SD cards for storage expansion. I'd say that's a more than fair, yet unfortunate trade-off for the charging port pass-through. My only other gripes are that the logo started to randomly peel off, and it's a bit loose fitting for the device.

This case does provide everything you need for your gaming device. I bought it to use with my Legion Go. It can definitely hold it (with probably an extra half inch of space). The zipper inside does have plenty of space to put the charger and even a dock. The only thing is: You kind of have to line up the items you place in the zipper pouch with the screen of your device because they might get caught on your devices joysticks and it wont close well. Case is hefty so I have no doubts it will protect your device if you accidentally drop it. My favorite detail is the exterior strap.
