My tire and wheel fell (20 -30lbs) with the bead of the rim smack dab on the back of the phone case, right across the three camera lenses on my iPhone 14 Pro. You can get a thin case that leaves you open to drops or a rugged case that protects but makes it feel like you’re carrying a brick. This one sits between the 2 extremes. It’s thin enough that you still get a sleek profile, but thick enough to offer good (but not rugged) protection. I feel like this case coupled with a glass screen protector will give you decent protection from light, every day type drops. That said, not sure this would get your phone through a major drop or impact. It’s a perfect compromise for me. A lot of the protection but with the slimmer profile I like. If you don’t care about the phone being thick, go with a more rugged case though. 1 month after purchase, I can also say the MagSafe works really well also. ... show more

The case is thin but sturdy. The materials are a mix of like a hard rubber and some kind of leather feeling material on the back that feels great. The phone is balanced and and feels like your holding the case less phone in your hand but better. Hard to explain. Glad I went with a new case over the one I had.
