I bought one for my child whose AC DC adapter that came with her notebook stopped working and I liked it enough that I bought one for myself and after a few sessions with it myself, I started carrying just this charger rather than one more bulky one that came with my notebook. It did however get hotter than I was expecting to see from a GaN device. GaN is sold as not generating as much heat as well as being so much smaller. Why buy a single-port brick? Because portability. I got the Spigen ArcStation Pro GaN 651 to use with my Surface Pro 7 and Surface Go 2 (not at the same time, of course). I often carry my tablets or laptops in a backpack, and during those times, I am not particularly concerned with the size of their chargers. However, when I want to carry my Surface in a small sleeve that has nothing but a small accessory pocket, the original 65W SP7 charger is simply too big -- that's what made me want to get this product, and I'm glad that I did. Compared to the original SP7 charger, I'd estimate that the ArcStation Pro 651 is ~60% smaller (see pictures) -- and combined with the fact that the SP7 charger uses not one, but two cables to operate, the space required to store one vs the other is not even close. My SP7 and SG2 (which is less demanding) both work very well with the Spigen; while some aftermarket chargers may be just good enough to maintain a charge, the Spigen actively increases the charge of either device even under heavy use. As a bonus, the ArcStation also works with a third-party USB-C to Surface Connector cable; the included Spigen USB C to C cable is more efficient, but that's not the charger's fault. The charger and cable also work well with my Pixel phone. The charger becomes slightly warm to the touch during use, but has not become hot. This is the smallest charger I have found over 60W. I previously used a RAVPower PD Pioneer 61W (no longer sold on Amazon), and this charger is smaller and faster. Unfortunately while it works with most of my devices, it does not charge my LG Gram laptop at all. I've never seen this issue before. I saw another review saying their device (Asus ROG Ally) would not charge; USB PD is incredibly complicated so I suspect there is some subtle incompatibility or bug. Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra reports as super-fast charger when connected. On connecting, the phone reported 14 minutes to full charge from 55%. Note that "full charge" on this phone is capped at 85%. Charged from 55% to 85% in 20 minutes., so a little slower than the phone originally estimated. At end of charge, charging brick did not feel excessively warm. Despite the faster charging capabilities, brick is still small enough to pack conveniently. No complaints. Seems to do what it is supposed to do. ... show more
