High quality product as I expected from my favorite manufacturer. The precision and sturdy construction makes the drilling very accurate and true. The overall finish and the rubbery pads in the base plate protect the project surface and also prevent the base from moving around if clamping is not possible. The triple rail construction is a well thought out solution that helps with stability. There is no friction or wobbling of the moving parts which inspires confidence. The ability to set the drilling depth is a very nice and desirable feature not always present on cheaper tools. I could not think of a better tool if a press drill is not available or cannot be used for the project. I used this tool right out of the box on a project that required extreme precision and the result was surprisingly good. The product seems expensive but in my opinion it is worth the money. I will keep it for what I anticipate many years of good use. I wish I had found it sooner.

This tool impresses with its quality and precision. Everything about it is excellent, almost everything. I gave it 4 stars because of its giant size, and mainly, because it's missing a very important feature—the fixing bolt on its moving part (the one that attaches the drill).

This portable drill guide stand worked great. It slides up / down very easily. It allowed us to drill a lot of holes in brass and re-thread the holes. We used both the drill bit and tap in the drill. This item gave us straight drilling. We used a level on all directions to ensure we were going to get the best vertical drills. I wish this item had it’s own level bubbles built in. We were on uneven surface. I highly recommend this item.

Very solid, zero wobble. FYI, the holes on the base are 20mm which makes it easy to integrate into an mft styler workbench

Very well built, works great. Highly recommend I'd give it 5 stars but they forgot to include/install the 2 position pins. After a few emails exchanged with SpeTool they shipped them out on a slow boat from presumably china. A month later I had the replacement pins, free of charge. So they do have customer service if you need it.
