I love these shoes! I have wide feet, not REALLY wide, but wide. At first I thought they'd be too narrow, but they're not, the width is perfect. They're a little tiny bit too big, but that's perfect for wearing thick socks with them. They are absolutely perfectly water proof. However, they're not very warm. I don't think they're pretending to be snow boots -- they're definitely for falls or warm winter days - they are warm enough for that. But for snow, it's like wearing rubber boots in the snow. You know the feeling. Cold. I love the leather shoe laces. They look good with jeans or nicer clothes. Probably not perfect with a dress - but I do it anyway and it isn't TERRIBLE, if you don't live in New York.

I am duck boot fanatic during the winter, so to find a pair that was a little more urban for casual night-out events was perfect. These have the typical Sperry construction. I have very VERY wide feet. My normal size is abt 9 ww. However in regular Sperry duck boots I size down an 8m for a perfect fit. In these heeled ducks I only went down to an 8.5 M. Good fit! I probably could've done an 8 but Im not sure if these will stretch or not, so ill be happy with the 8.5. The heel is really not a high heel. Maybe a half inch higher than the regular duck boot. Its just a defined heel. These are NOT the typical high heeled lace up like Tims. U can wear these most of the day with no discomfort

So I bought these thinking they’d be cute for running around, shopping etc. I didn’t have super high expectations for them holding up to real winter conditions. I live in MN - it gets cold and we get snow. These surpassed my expectations. They are warmer than expected without being bulky or hideous. They keep my feet dry and I can wear them for hours and they stay comfortable. I even shoveled the driveway in them after 12” of snow (I wore warm socks). They even look good. They are pretty much the perfect winter boot.

These boots, are perfect, they are comfortable, I gave them to my daughter, who is a professional, and she warm to work they look good on her and they serve their purpose, has a casual boot to wear to work in the office, in the snow in the rain, and they fit comfortable, and the price is good, the quality of the boots supersedes the price... I'm buying another pair, for my wife. Keep in mind, if you wear a 8, you buy a size 8, if you wear a size 8 and 1/2 you buy an 8 and 1/2, never mind what the instructions are telling you when you are purchasing these boots.

Yes, these are made for narrow feet and/or people who do not carry extra weight. If this does not describe you, then you need to order up a size! I purchased my usual size 9 and they fit well - my toes have plenty of room to be free and spread out in the toe box. I purchased these in 2 colors - this black color with camel accents and the cream/white color. The cream/white ones do indeed have a screw in each heel. This is evident if you lift up the Sperry insole to investigate. The black pair does not have a screw in each heel. These both appear to be "original" Sperry products manufactured in China, with QR code verification in the tongues. Every other pair of Sperrys I own were made in Vietnam, so there may be quality control issues with these ones being made in China. Are these comfortable, thermally lined, and suitable for rain/snow/ice? Yes! Will you be comfortable wearing these "as is" to run errands, go shopping, shovel your driveway, probably yes. Will you be comfortable wearing these "as is" to walk a couple miles to work if you are living in a city, probably not. My solution was adding comfortable inserts. I did not remove the existing insole! If you have problem feet or "tired feet" then you will definitely want to add your own insole. If you plan for this to be your everyday shoe in the fall/winter, then get a second pair so you can alternate. These boots were released in 2021 and are not available on the Sperry website, so whatever you find here on Amazon is likely to be a return or a "try before you buy" item. I don't think this is a big deal. It's like going into Macy's, Belk, or Dillards to buy shoes and getting angry that someone else tried on the shoes before you bought them.
