If you paid attention in high school biology, you know that cells are your body's building blocks and that each cell you have has multiple parts that keep it functioning. Just like with your car, home appliances, or romantic relationships, these parts can become defective or stop working causing you to age faster. That's where autophagy comes in. Autophagy describes the mammal body's process of internal recycling and cleansing and it's apparently a hot topic for those studying aging and how to avoid becoming decrepit. During autophagy, your body eliminates/reuses old and damaged cell parts. Think of it like flushing out your system automatically. (Wouldn't this be great to have in other areas of your life?) Spermidine is thought to help turbocharge the autophagy process. Now that the biology less is done... I got into researching spermidine because I want to live forever to torment and harass my spawn and their spawn. I want to be the tattooed granny on the back of a Harley flipping off passing motorists! Spermidine exists naturally in the body. It acts as longevity agent in mammals, although we don't understand much about how it does so. There is some evidence that spermidine reduces inflammation and regulates cell growth, in addition to aiding the autophagy process. The name makes it sound nasty, but the convenient capsules ensures that unless, for some strange reason, you leave it in your mouth to dissolve, it has no taste.     • Be aware...doseage is not what it seems to be
The label says 10mg of spermidine per serving. So it is natural to believe that you are getting 10mg spermidine from the serving size of 2 capsules of this product. That is what is indicated on the label, whereas in fact the amount of spermidine in a 10mg serving of spermidine trihydrochloride is not 10 grams of spermidine any more than drinking 8 ounces of H2O is 8 ounces of hydrogen. The amount of spermidine in 10 grams of spermidine trihydrochloride is much less than 10 grams. It seems to be common practice among the spermidine retailers to advertise the quantity of extract, or concentrated wheat germ, or the oil, rather than the actual quantity of spermidine. This makes it almost impossible to compare the products and determine their respective price of spermidine. When a question was posted asking how much spermidine, the manufacturer didn’t answer. All that being said, I still recommend this product. Why? Their certificate of analysis by a 3rd Party Lab is persuasive. I believe their manufacturing is generally to high standards since I’ve never seen an example of their products testing significantly lower than what is stated on the label. In my opinion this item gives you the most bang for your buck compared to other spermidine capsules… you just need to be aware that you must take more than 2 capsules if you want 10mg of spermidine. Were it not for what I see as misleading labeling, I would have given them 5 stars instead of 4. ... show more

After taking Spermidine for a couple of weeks I felt an increase in energy, alertness, memory recall and inflammation. I did however experience a negative side effect in that it gave me some painful flatulence. This side effect has caused me to stop taking the supplement. I would recommend it only to people willing to take a chance and hope this may not affect them. I wanted to like the product and take it regularly for health reasons, but instead have switched to Pterostilbene for now. ... show more

Spermidine is a revolutionary supplement. Since taking spermidine, I stoped drinking coffee because I don’t feel I need it. I can focus and complete tasks much more effectively. I feel as though I look younger, think more clearly and am more effective at work. Spermidine may be one of the best thing that’s ever happened to me, I wasn’t expecting much when I first tried wheat germ extract as the dose was only 1 mg. I took the spermidine life wheat germ extract as directed, 1 mg a day and noticed some improvements but when I began to take five times the recommended dose, 5 mg, that’s when the benefit became obvious. I was so relieved that somebody else offered spermidine at a reasonable price. I thought the stuff would be different from the wheat germ extract, but I find it just as effective. Seriously, amazing, life-changing. I may be on this stuff for life ... show more
