This is by far worth every pennies. The fact that its android base I'm able to ditch the phone to connect to Google play store, SKYRC and some other basics apps. You can have the apps onscreen while controlling RC, range is awesome, controls feel premium, and multiple channels preset buttons. My only concern is it's limited internal storage just 16G (I've added 256G MicroSD). The screen is bright even in bright days. I would recommend this only to the serious RC hobbies who's looking to up their games. The price is steep but if you are in spektrum eco system as I am it's just part of the game. Customization and expansions it limitless.

The remote is kinda pricey but it is an awesome remote for any RC. Amazon support is bad ass!!

This 1 star is for plenty of reasons. lets start with Spektrum / Horizon Hobbys terrible customer support. The magnetic usb that came with it stuck into the charge port and there is no way to get it besides try to get a nail underneath and pry it out. the two people on the chat Wayne and Ryan both did not know if this was supposed to be like this and eluded to some radios came with that style cable and others without the magnetic connect. They did not want to confirm that with me rather have me send it in for warranty work. Nothing on the website mentions magnetic charging and I have not seen it on any of the review videos thats why I messaged them. this remote retails for $700 and you cant get an answer out of their support what a shame. after a few days of use here is few more problems. The front plate will not come off with the SD card inserted without using force POOR DESIGN. CANNOT turn off AVC on SR6200A and they only sell avc 6ch receivers so no going around that. The raceware app constantly disconnects and puts you back on the main menu. This has been all around disappointing and full of bugs.

If this is your first radio to consolidate DSMR receivers then it is a good buy. The price is on the higher end for what the radio offers but it has a solid build quality and the touch screen interface works well. It also updates firmware and the software on the radio automatically when you connect it to wi-fi. You can export models from a DX radio onto an sd card and import them into the ISXR making it easy to move from a different spektrum radio. This radio will also work with the Losi MX bikes. While all that is great it’s hard to recommend this tx to friends when you can pick up a DDF350 AND enough rx’s w/gyros to gear 30 rigs and still be UNDER half the cost of this radio. The cheapest Spektrum rx w/gyro is around $70. $60 on sale. All in all, Spektrum did make a great product especially the fact that Spektrum just released a firmware update that makes it dual protocol on 2/20/25, if you have a lot of Horizon Hobby Surface models this will control them ALL now. Groms, Mini's, the new line of Arrma 223's all will work with this transmitter which makes it incredible.

Horrible experience. Radio runs old android from 2021 and that was the latest update. Configured everything and added a lock password. Everything seems to work until you turn it off. When i rebooted, it took me to the password screen, which worked perfectly. After swiping my password, it took me to the raceware app. No problem there. I exited the raceware to the main Home Screen. There i try to open the skyrc gnss, no luck just freezes. Tried opening corner weight system, no luck. Every app i wanted to open doesn’t open or it opens and freezes. Frustrated, i tried to do a whole system reset and it won’t let me do a system reset. It keeps taking me to the option to reset but after swiping my screen lock, it goes back to the reset screen. Emailed horizon and as usual, nobody has responded. I am returning it back to Amazon.

Hideously expensive but this should be, I’m hoping, the only surface transmitter I’ll ever need. Very flexible, it allows lots of custom settings. There is a learning curve. Having started R/C in the early ‘70s being able to see telemetry from the model is bitchen, lol.
