This DC5 dryer from speed queen is quiet. I'm looking forward to it lasting 25 years as sturdy as it's built. I love the light that comes on when you open the door. And at first I didn't like the open-style lint trap, but then I learned you can buy a plate to cover it that has large slots, so your clothes don't fall into the lint trap. You MUST buy it for $5. Speed Queen is known for quality, long lasting workhorse products. This dryer comes with a 5 year manufacturer warranty- longest warranty available from a manufacturer. It is a quiet machine and has numerous options for drying needs- even a buzzer switch to turn off or down the noise.
