Description

The Steel-Flex Fuel Line from Spectre features a high quality nitrile rubber hose, reinforced with a single ply of braided cord, and 304 grade stainless steel braid ensuring optimum fit and function. For durability, the flex fuel line is jacketed with hypalon. This hose has a 3/8 inch inside diameter, is 10 feet long and can also be easily cut to length. Use on stock, street, race and show or any other universal application, although the Spectre flex fuel line is not for use with fuel injection systems or E85 fuels.

I am so very happy with this purchase. The quality of rubber over silicon is vast... especially when the rubber is wrapped in braided Stainless Steel. Not to difficult to cut as long as you have something that can fit the gauge of the hosing. I was able to pinch the hose and cut it with new big wire cutters. As long as you look up the sizes for you car and make sure that you order slightly smaller or exact sizes, you will be golden...(or stainless) I did not have any need for hose clamps. all the hoses were perfectly snug. The only thing i didnt like is that some of the braiding is frayed. Small blemishes or snaggs. I know it shouldnt matter too much but that is the only flaw. Very easy to clean up and fix. (just becarefull to not tear your hands open installing) ... show more

This is a good deal for braided line, and a little cheaper than Spectre stuff is sold for in stores. I used bits and pieces to help mount a custom electric fuel pump assembly. I didn't like the idea of any length of plain rubber hose hanging out under a car where it could get damaged so this stuff did the trick with some proper fittings it looks real nice. ... show more

    • Cheap price but equal to the quality of the hose.
This was good pricing and that is why I went for it but the quality is very poor and is probably on par with the price. If I had more time to return it and buy better quality fuel line I would have. Unfortunately this line was used to make repairs to my boat just before the holiday weekend and I did not have time to get some other brand. I was able to make it work but when I received it there were 4 spots in my fuel line with broken strands, you can actually see the black rubber hose underneath the braid in those spots. I will get poked by those strands every time I work with the line. It is always difficult to add "an" fittings to steal braided line but 27 years as a tech this was by far the hardest ever. The poor fit maybe due to the fact that I used a different brand of fitting. I am not sure if spectre makes "an" fittings to match this hose. ... show more

The braiding has a lot of nicks and small damaged areas throughout and compared to other braided line I've purchased here on Amazon that was Great Quality. The braiding it's self isn't very well made, it's thin and weak.. I've had to try and trim and work all the small nicks and abrasions but they still stand out so I hid this line in the frame rails so all is well after all and I didn't have to hassle with a return My fault I went for the cheaper price this time. ... show more

    • Exactly what I needed.
This fuel line is easy to work, quality, and exactly what I needed to complete the install on my home boiler with a TigerLoop Ultra. In my application, this item is under vacuum rather than pressure, so your results may vary. I would not hesitate to buy it again.
