Speck Presidio2 Grip cases used to be the ultimate grip case years ago. Each iteration of their cases through the years have gone through regressions. They continue to make the the nubs less pronounced and the feel less tacky. I just went from the S24 Ultra version to the S26 Ultra version and the nubs are pretty flat and smooth against the case. Looking at alternatives now. I have been a loyalist of this product line since 2017, and I'm ready to jump ship. Very disappointed they have gone in this direction, and honestly I think they should take "grip" out of the name of this product line. If you are looking for a "grip" case, this doesn't really look like the answer anymore. I hope I can find something better, returning this one if I can. Speck designers, if you read this, why do you keep making the product worse with each generation? 😔 ... show more

My family has tried the fancy brand cases and found them seriously lacking for protecting pocket puters from clumsy fumbles and clops to hard surfaces. This case has protected ten years of phones from my plopsy, dropsy woopsies. They never crack, scratch or break. After about two hundred drops on my last pocket puter, the corner of the case loosed. So far a very good case, has a good grip, has good edges so the phone won't hit the ground if dropped, and is very minimalist in my pocket, much better than my previous cases for other phones. Very happy with purchase.

I'm honestly not sure why this case has some mediocre reviews - it's one of the nicest cases of this type that I've owned - and I've had every generation of Note/Ultra since the Note 5. Its not super thick, but offers plenty of protection on all sides. There is enough of a "lip" around all sides of the front that you should be ok if you drop the case screen down. I love the grippy ridges on the side, and the material feels really upscale. It does accumulate some fingerprints and I would have liked a bit more coverage for the camera, but those are minor concerns. The only way this case could be seriously improved would be if Speck offered a free holster. Another big issue, to me, is the case is quite expensive for what you get. I'm loving the case, but its definitely on the high end of the price range. Anyway, if you don't care about cost, a big thumbs up from me. Edit: just to follow up on some of complaints here - the main issue is that the back of the car is now flat in the center with ridges that fold in instead of out. That's not because Speck is cheaping out - it allows Qi charging. The case needs to have a flat surface to make a proper bond with a qi pad. This is a feature folks, not a limitation. Best phone case for this phone in my opinion. It fits tight and covers every inch extremely well. I have the navy blue and it looks really good on my black phone. I've dropped my phone face down a couple of times on cement and have zero damage to the phone or case. Very easy to hold bc its not bulky and the magnet is strong on my wireless charger. This is the case brand my daughter and husband have used for years. They've dropped their phones from varying heights without any damage, so I was glad to get one for my new phone. It doesn't have the rubber gripping they used to put on them, but it's still got good grip for me.
