The price was right, Amazon was selling it for $20 bucks off of the regular price, which is the only reason why I’m keeping it. But as you can see in the photo attached, the bottom plastic does not go over the corner of the laptop (left and right side). Everything else fits.

I love the look and feel of the case, but as far as durability goes this thing is sub-par. After only a month the case is already cracking at the corners.

    • I've bought a few hardshells and this is the first great one.

So, there's the Chinesium variant of laptop cases, right, they all have the vents on the bottom center of the case, which make no sense, since this laptop's intake is on the bottom sides. I've avoided those. I've bought two other hardshells with proper design. I can't remember the brands, but most hardshells have a 'clattery' feel in that you can feel them move and they don't feel part of the laptop. All that's to say, this hardshell has a pleasantly firm grip on the laptop. Enough so that feels as one with the device. Nice engineering on the feet too, other cases just add extra bulk to the height of the device, but these shave a few mm off the feet which makes more of a difference than I thought it would. ... show more

I never write reviews, but I am very upset that after 2 months of normal and careful use, the case already has cracks. If I payed less, I would be okay with it, but I expected better quality for the price that this case is. Disappointed.

    • Self destructs and cracks on its own

I purchased one of these and 5-6 months later it is garbage. The corners developed cracks and one of the corners fell off today. Mine has never left the house, never been dropped and babied the entire time. I normally love Speck but these are complete junk!
