Description

Stop drops before they happen with a no-slip grip. Our Presidio GRIP cases have a polycarbonate shell molded together with shock-absorbing IMPACTIUM rubber for two layers of protection in a one-piece case. Ridges of IMPACTIUM rubber on the inside perimeter of this Presidio case compress on impact to absorb and disperse shock. This case is tested to protect your phone against damage from drops up to 10 feet. Angled rubber ridges on the back of the case provide a secure no-slip grip no matter how you hold your phone. Raised bezel around the screen helps prevent damage when phone is lying face down and during drops. Protected by a lifetime warranty.

And it's cost-effective. Bought this Speck Presidio at the same time I bought a Spigen Ultra Hybrid, thinking I liked them both and would decide which to use, or alternate between the two. I started out with the Spigen, which is a very nice minimalist case with a glass back which showcased my XS Max very nicely. The glass on the back was so nice in that it didn't allow any particles in and didn't get any scratches in the 2 weeks I had it on. It wasn't very grippy though and one week When I had to take the commuter train to work, I soon realized that standing outside in cold weather (cold hands and phone reduces grip), gloves on-and-off, switching hands with the phone while juggling other things on the platform and train - was a recipe for disaster if I didn't have a grippier, more protective case. So on with the Speck Presidio. It's barely thicker than the Spigen. Two weeks later it's still my case of choice. It looks sharp, provides grip, and has protection for drops of 10 feet. And what I consider important: the buttons are very tactile and easy to press. The case material on mine is flat black and doesn't provide much grip but the red silicon ribs, corners and bezel around the screen are very grippy, look real sporty and make holding the phone very pleasurable and secure, including sliding it into different positions during one-hand use, stretching your thumb to press that hard-to-reach button or link on the screen, never losing your grip. If I had one complaint it’s that the bottom of the case doesn’t have any of the grippy silicon on it. I like to prop my phone against something in upright position with the screen facing me, and the bottom can slide out and the phone fall flat - but it’s just a tiny issue. Overall this is a great case and I consider Speck a leader or name brand, if you will, and I prefer it over the well-known, more expensive cases from other highly-regarded brands. Only fits iPhone XS Max

This is the second time I have bought this case. First one lasted about 6 years. I like the ribbing on the sides for gripping. Case fits in back pocket of most jeans. I’m happy with the quality, design and dollar value.

Best grip phone case I’ve found to-date

I’ve had this case for 10 months and it’s worked fantastic. I’ve read other reviews and haven’t had the same problems they’ve had. My case still looks the same as when I bought it. No wear, no disintegration. I’m very happy with it. I’m actually going to buy another one in a different color just to change things up a bit. What I like best is the fact it has a great grip. I don’t have a phone holder in my car but have a perfect place to rest my phone. This is the only case that won’t slide around. All other cases are too slippery. It may not look like a million bucks but it certainly does a great job. ... show more

When I first saw this case I knew I had to have it. Upon arriving it I can see that it has been everything I expected to be. It is comfortable in my hand, I no longer feel like I am about to drop my expensive phone, it doesn't obstruct my ability to swipe up on my screen, and it protects my camera lens on the back. My only qualms are the following: 1. The charger opening scratches my finger whenever I put my pinky there to stabilize my phone. The speaker openings on the bottom are not scratchy at all but for some reason the charger opening is... 2. The opening to get to the volume toggle switch on the top left is weirdly formed. I love that it is big so that my big fingers can get in there to switch it to silent mode, but it is not centered around the switch and slightly bothers me, however, this is more of a cosmetic issue. Ultimately, I will probably just try to sand down the charger opening so that it does not scratch me anymore. Will update this review as more information comes to light. ... show more

Best iPhone case around!

These cases are the best cases around. Hands down! I have used Speck cases on all my iPhones for the past few years. They are tough. Good looking. Easy to hold and they don’t slide around in a moving car when laid on the seat or console. I have tried many others. I am hard on phones….and cases. I haven’t broken an iPhone since switching to these cases. I have crashed 2 motorcycles. Had my iPhone fall from my pocket at 45 mph. The Speck case protected it. I have dropped my phones MANY times and the case protects the phone every time. You should replace the case after every hard impact. Small price to pay to protect your very expensive phones. ... show more

First Time Speck User

This is my first time ever using a speck case and I must admit I am quite impressed with the case. I am not sure how well it will hold up yet in a drop (knock on wood I dont drop my phone) but I know i'll drop it eventually. What can I say about the grip? The grip is amazing and something I have longed looked for in a case. Only negative I can honestly say about the case is I wish the whole sides was grippy. There is just a part in the middle of the sides of the case that is not grippy and that is the part I wish was grippy. Come on Speck next time you make a case similar like this please just put the grip around the whole sides of the case. I am a speck fan for sure now. Next time I need another case or get another phone, speck will be the ones I look for. ... show more

Good case
I’m on my 3rd case. These provide good grip and drop protection. They last about a year before the rubber grips wear off. Not a bad yearly price to pay to protect your phone.
