Everything worked great. We put 6x6 posts in the ground and then attached these kayak holders and it couldn't have turned out better. I did a single on the bottom for our big-boy (3 seater, super heavy) and it didn't seem to have any trouble holding it. Then I did a double in the middle layer for our paddle-boards that are thin. Then another single at the top. Our posts are 7 feet above ground and 3 feet below ground. One thing that was never explained was how you can do straight or angled with the arms, but it makes sense once you work with it. Each pole has a slight bend near the base and a button that allows it to be pulled off and rotated upside down. It also makes the arms very easily removable if you aren't using them. And the foam covering is high quality, dense/solid and looks quite durable. ... show more

I bought these to store my Thule Motion XT XL. They are sturdy, easy to install and work great! There are two different angles to set the supports to. I used the more level setting. You can also detach the supports with a push of two small buttons, in case you want to mount a ceiling hoist above to lift your box up into position. Hoist it up, then insert the two supports. Even with predrilled, screw/bolts stripped immediately going into wood even with new bit and tons of pressure. Hired someone to install and now I have to hire them a second time after I get better hardware. Way overpriced
