I bought this because it was the most affordable wakesurf option on Amazon. The product arrived quickly and was exactly as advertised. It works! I was able to pull up and ride the wake. The fins give plenty of grip for weaving left and right. Over-all, the board has a nice shine and seems pretty sturdy. It's also much lighter than the solid plastic ones, so easier to load and unload the boat.

This Southbay wake surfboard is a Chinese made piece of junk! The fin does not fit properly, it is very loose. There is NO customer support whatsoever. and no included instructions.

It feels cheap, but it's taken a beating this fall. No cracks or dings, it will scratch a bit. But all in all you won't be at it at this price! It's perfect for 200lb + guys who want to surf.

Like a lot of other reviews, first order came damaged from shipping and was unusable. Return&replace process was pretty quick and easy so that was good. For the actual board, its everything it says it is. Looks and feels awesome. Only had for about a month, multiple uses with different people so can’t speak to its longevity and durability so far, seems like it will hold up well though.

One fin box had manufacturing issues. Front of fin would not sit bottomed in the box slot if properly installed aft end first. Leading edge lip of fin stuck up above the bottom surface of the board. If the front of the fin was inserted first, it would fully insert, but then you can't insert the aft end of the fin. Checked for burrs/debri on the fin and in the box slot and found none; figure the box may be warped. Also the same fin box set screw threads are stripping. Some of the plastic threads can be seen detached from the hole. Tried to contact company through Amazon, but the website given is no good. Shame, because it otherwise seems like a pretty nice board for the price. Thought about returning and ordering another, but they're no longer available. And yes we are familiar with surfboards and fin boxes and how to install fins; we have several real surfboards for real waves.
