My wife wanted me to get this as much for her as we did for our daughter. She always loved playing grocery store or any kind of play store for that matter as a kid, so we felt like a toy register was a must for our little girl too. When the box arrived we were disappointed by how small it appeared. That being said, when I opened it and put the batteries in, my 13-month-old was so happy with it. She does just pull it around by the scanner cord right now, but she loves it, nonetheless. The set basically doubles as a calculator, so it seems like it will be a toy that grows with her. It sings songs which I wasn’t expecting. It has a light on the beep and scanner which is a cool realistic detail. Overall, it’s a great to set that will also add to her current grocery store toy selection as far as a shopping basket, plastic foods, and boxes go. Also, when she is older there are some cool smaller parts like a credit card that slides through the till, coins, and paper money that all will go in the cash drawer that opens and closes. The details are great! As a funny side note you get to teach your child about international currency, although the stickers have dollar signs on them when the voice mentions a money amount, she uses either Yen or Yuan, we can’t tell. ... show more

This product is very durable and perfect for our 3 year old twins. They played with it for hours , and can be rough with this toy. It stays in good shape. Great product for the money

Wish I knew it was in Yen and not US currency before I purchased this for my niece. There are no instructions and it does not indicate that yen is the only currency nor is there an option to switch languages

It was a good laugh when it asked for 2 Yen instead of dollars although it comes with fake US money and everything is in English 🤷🏻♀️ My 4 year old is loving it though so we will keep it.

    • Not a good toy if you are expecting American currency.
Well, it is small. Got it for my 3 yr old, English is our primary language. Got it setup with stickers, and the food ready to go this morning (Christmas morning). Everything works great, the toy is in English...until it tells the change and cost of the item, which is in Yen. Hard to teach her what 100y is in dollar amounts. It comes with no instructions, and no button to flip the language. If I had it to do all over again, I would have chosen a different register, at the very least one that flips between the use of languages. Wish I had known before my husband put the stickers on...figured the pictures just coincided with the country of origin, wasn't expecting yen to be the only option. ... show more
