Took these to Scotland. I would say they ran true to size but they were a bit narrow fitting. They do not have much cushion or arch support. They were very warm and did keep my feet dry the entire time I wore them. If you have wide feet look for something else. If you don't these will work great for you. I got these for a trip, but they are too cute to ruin in the rain & mud. They look amazing with jeans & they keep your feet just the right amount of warm. I sized up a half size so I can use my orthotic & wear heavier socks. The insole is actually comfortable on its own though. Definitely an excellent value for a versatile sneaker boot. I was drawn to these mainly of the design with the colors: soft olive fabric, salmon color strings and gray high top boot style. I just couldn't get past the feeling of walking on a wide “coffee-cup saucer like plate” at the front part of the shoe. It is an odd feeling for sure, and only after wearing them (indoors) for literally 5 minutes, I felt off balance. For reference: the bottom *front* of the shoe is 4.25” wide, the exact width as my UGG boot. Hmmm, my New Balance shoes are 4” wide at the front, WHICH I WEAR EVERYDAY – and LOVE, but they don’t waffle out – like these. Which ¼” is not that much of a difference but it’s the Illusion they are “wider” than they are that I cannot get past (in design). They waffle at the front like running shoes, which I'm not a runner and I don’t like wearing “fat or wide shoes” – I hear there's a purpose in the waffle effect, which gives you more surface on the floor when running or hiking. So maybe runners/hikers would like these boots more than I …. I bought them for everyday wear and for the fashionable look too. “Is it wrong?” Maybe others (youngins) might not be bothered or feel the off-balance part and adjust better to it. I also read they are not for warmth as much as they are for waterproof - so if you are looking for warmth, take note. I didn't buy them for warmth, so that didn't matter to me. In the end, after seeing them on my feet, they were not give the best fit, style or feeling. I gave them 3 stars because I liked the design but took 2 off for fitting style. They are comfy but a bit cloddy for my taste - which is strange bc I wear UGG boots and other shoes that are chunky. I’ve attached a comparison to an UGG boot bottom to this one - which, when looking at it from a FRONT view, there’s that illusion they are thinner than they really are. The (OLIVE COLOR SOFT SUEDE SHOE) part makes it look thinner. And after wearing them - the wide lined waffle part that flares out extend the bottom part of the boot, threw me off balance. I do like Waffle cones with my ice cream, but not on my shoes. Ha! But hope that this description is clearer after seeing the visual images. Will be returning them, sadly. ... show more
