I’ve worn Sorels since the 80s, when playing in deep snow was the height of my year. Those boots were either mid calf or knee high and came with a 1/2” thick felt lining and no amount of frozen fun ever penetrated them. They were fantastic for that type of usage, and Sorel still makes those boots today. These are not them, though. These are amazing for what most people need winter boots for- keeping your feet dry and warm (but not too warm) as you go about your day in 6” or less of snow. These are so cute, once they finally did arrive. I wanted to wear these on my Christmas vacation, but shipping was greatly delayed. Fortunately the snow and rain did not materialize as forecasted. Just picked up at the poat office on my return home and they are really, really cute. I love them. And they make my feet look so small. I wear an 8.5 and they are exactly that with only a tiny bit of room to the tip of my toes. But after trying them on for a little while I could tell they were already hurting my toes even with thin socks on. Tried some arch support inserts to see if they would help, but am returning the 8.5 pair for a size 9. I hope they won't be too big, I think they will be okay with a regular or thicker sock which may be needed for warmth as they are not quite as padded inside as I thought they might be. They do have some padding, just not as thick as I thought Sorel boots may usually be. I have never tried or owned any Sorel boots before. If they fit I believe they will be comfortable and very functional. I may order another pair, or maybe even two in another color(s) since I do live way up North in snow country and they are so good looking. ... show more

This is a very good boot- comfortable and stylish but certainly runs small. I need a larger size but will not return. It fits. I will wear a thinner sock. I would advise to order a half size larger than you normally wear.

Saw several reviews that mentioned these ran big or ran small. But I still ordered my regular size to make sure and I’m glad I did! If I’d gone 1/2 size smaller they would not have fit. But I do like them, style, comfort, fit and waterproof!

    • Nice shoe. No flex, tight toe box!!!!

I wear 7.5 medium width generally, 8 depending on how the shoe fits. I read the reviews and order a full size larger (8.5), to compensate for the inflexible short toe box. Width is fine, toe box design problematic. After trying them on (wearing a well known brand THIN five toe merino wool sock) I’m contemplating exchanging for even larger size (9), because I can foresee a bruised big toes with normal wear. There’s no way to wear a thicker sock if needed in colder wet weather. Go at least one size, or 1.5 larger if you have even minimal free edge toe nails and may prefer thicker socks. Otherwise, it’s a nice looking shoe. I’ll update if I experience any performance, separation or any other issues mentioned in other reviews. ... show more

I’ve been looking at these boots for so long and I finally bought them while they were on sale. I also bought my mom a pair. They run small. I’m usually an 8 and the 8.5 fits great. My mom usually wears a 7.5 and bought the 8.5 after trying mine on. She does like a thicker sock.

These boots are super cute but not comfortable at all. I wear a size 8 and bought a size 8. They fit but barely, if you plan on wearing thick socks with them (which I’d recommend) then you’ll want to go up a size. The soles have zero cushion. It’s like standing on hardwood floor and the ankles rub really bad on your leg, which is why I’d recommend thick socks. They do keep your feet warm-ish so that’s a pro. Overall, if you’re looking for style these are super cute. If you desire comfort look elsewhere cause these are anything but. ... show more
