  • A WIDE Foot friendly boot that does not offer a Wide size.
I have WIDE size 10 feet. The real wide, the kind that makes it impossible to ever find shoes that are comfortable for my toes and pads of my feet. My cousin just bought these and though doesn't have a wide foot herself said they seemed wide to her, and showed me a picture, recommending i look at them. Sorels do not come in wide, at least these don't. I only gave them a chance because the toes of these boots look so squared off and rounded out. Because of the nature of boots and accommodating for a wide foot I did order a half size bigger (10.5) than I normally wear to be safe. So i'm not sure if a 10 would have been comfortable or not, these worked so i'm sticking with the 10.5. As I was hoping, the shape of these boots give my toes the room they need. There is a slight hug in the arch area of my foot, but it is in no means uncomfortable, though I won't be doubling up on thick socks. The Arch support isn't severe and does not bother my foot that mostly lacks an arch. Often boots are not comfortable, so it was an added bonus that these are. There is a spring to the insole and sole of the boot. Unlike many of the department store "cheap" $60 dollar boots, that feel like slabs of stone with some shoe sewn around it" The Sorels are comfortable and not too heavy. The laces are thick and kind of awesome. Waterproof, and super cute ta boot ;) ... show more

  • Best winter boots ever!
These are the best winter boots I have ever owned! I live in Ohio where we can anticipate snow from November-March. I needed a good pair of boots that I was able to wear in the snow while walking my dog in the snow/ice, and I am able to do that with these since the traction is great. Even with this recent snow storm, my feet are able to stay warm and dry. They are also super comfortable, with a cushiony feel to them. I would say these run a tiny bit large, but I put on a pair of wool/boot socks and they fit like a charm. On top of it all, I have received lots of compliments on them for the aesthetic appeal! ... show more

  • Super cute boot. Not sure how warm it is.
Size: 9 Color: Quarry
We bought these for my wife so this is her review: OMG! These boots are so stinkin' cute! I usually wear a size 9.5 but based on reviews, I sized down to an 8.5 and they fit great and don't make my feet look manly! In the pics you can see my 9.5 sneaker next to the boot for comparison. They feel a little wide in the toe box but I have skinny feet and thicker socks will likely help. I pulled the insole out and was surprised by the thickness and the moderate arch support. They are very comfy to walk in (and my feet are finicky). On the downside, the outer sole has kind of soft rubber buttons for tread. I'm not sure how grippy they would be on slick icy surfaces. Also, I couldn't find any information on the labels, on the Amazon description, nor on Sorel.com on what kind of insulation this boot is made of. No mention of Thinsulate anywhere. So, I have doubts on how warm these would be in real winter weather. They are more of a bootie, like a high-top sneaker, than a normal Sorel winter boot. I can't imagine being able to stay warm and dry while stomping around in deep snow, or even shallow snow for that matter. They seem to be made for walking in town on a clear cool day. Nevertheless, I'm keeping them just because they are so cute and comfortable. But, mostly for the cuteness factor. ... show more

  • Fabulous Boots
Oh my gosh, I couldn’t happier with these boots, they are great! I have had Sorel boots in the past, but never like these. They are warm, light weight, and so cute. I have worn them out shoveling snow, and doing outside chores in deep snow, and frigid temps, and my toes never got cold. I couldn’t be happier! My husband commented about the boots, said “they must be comfortable and warm because you come in and you don’t take them off”. He was right! I did size down to a 7, I normally wear a 7,5 or a 8, and these fit perfectly. The best winter boot I have ever owned! ... show more

  • Super comfy, warm, waterproof and cute. Slips on snowy/icy/wet surfaces. Not ideal for snowshoeing.
Got these boots because I saw them listed on a blog as one of the top ten boots for women who snowshoe. LOLZ, okay. I snowshoed my ass off in these boots over the weekend and my feet stayed very warm, very dry. However, these run large and are wide throughout (including toe box... I literally cannot understand those who said the toe box being narrow). With the width, my feet slipped around a bit and gave me blisters on the long, long hike. If you have wide feet, this will change your life. If you have narrow feet, you may not want to use these for your athletic pursuits. I have some gnarly blisters. Another thing I find odd about these boots is how easily they slip on slick surfaces. Like, we wear these in the snow and ice, right? Why are they so slippery? I slipped (but didn't fall) in a snowy/icy parking lot a few times. I slipped (but didn't fall) on a damp floor in the grocery store. I slipped (and fell a few times) on an icy rock pile that I probably shouldn't have been climbing. But seriously, these are more slippery than I'd expect from a snow boot. Still keeping them because they're ultra comfy for walking around my neighborhood. Will not use them for snowshoeing. Hoping they become less slippery as the tread gets scuffed. ... show more

  • Warm & Comfy!
I love these boots! They are light as a feather, so comfortable, and very warm without making my feet sweat. They run true to size. I normally wear a 10 and purchased a 10. I have very wide feet and these have a nice, wide toe box. They fit nicely with both thinner and thicker wool socks, depending on how tight I lace them. It's late fall and hasn't snowed yet, but I have been wearing them out and about on both wet, gravel walking paths in the country and while doing city shopping. They have great traction on slippery/wet surfaces. I did spray them with a layer of Scotchguard before wearing, just in case. Overall a very good quality product and I would not hesitate to purchase again. ... show more
