Great boots. I'm diabetic and my feet were hurting from my old boots, which meant time for them to retire. I usually wear Kodiaks, but I wanted to try out Sorel. My first pair and they're cozy and my feet stopped hurting. Good support in my opinion. I walk to and from work and also walk alot at work... these boots ARE made for walking. Based on reviews, I sized down. I usually wear an 8.5 but I got an 8. They're a little snug, but not in a bad way. I do not have wide feet. My heel doesn't slide, feels supportive and comfy. Still about .5-1 inch of space between toe and end of shoe. If the sides widen with wear (which boots usually do) these will still fit beautifully. I think I could have been okay with an 8.5, but I can't compare. Because of the fabric part near the ankle, there is some stretch and I can get in and out of the boots without struggle. These are very well made. I had "sticker shock" at first, but these are very comfortable and I know I'll be living out of them for years. It was a good purchase. Hard to find shoes this comfortable, cute, AND well-made. I'm going to wear them a few more weeks and make sure they're the one for me, then order more colors I think.... Hope that helps. I really like these boots. Love the Sorel brand and quality. I got these at a great price! The grey is a nice color that will go with most everything. Boots were comfortable when I first put them on. They don't seem overly stiff and insoles are cushy. I sometimes wear a 7 and sometimes a 7.5. I ordered the 7.5. They fit well with thick socks. I think I would have been fine with either the 7 or 7.5. Happy with the purchase!! ... show more

I was skeptical because of the reviews, but these are the best boots I've ever purchased! I have narrow feet, and I wear a 9 in everything, but I did have to size up to a 10 for these, they fit small and are made for narrow feet. However, they are comfortable, did not require breaking in, I wore them on a hike two days after they arrive and they didn't hurt my feet. If you are like me and you love ankle boots and skinny jeans, but hate having to tuck your pants in, but don't always want to roll up your jeans, these boots are for you! They can be dressed up or down, I wear them to work and they match with everything. ... show more

Love these boots. So much. I have been searching for the perfect waterproof, comfortable bootie, and this is it. These boots are amazing. They do run a bit large, but most of the time I'm wearing thick socks, so it isn't too bad. However, I loved these boots so much, I bought a second pair in a different color and sized down a half size. I wear size 8 in most shoes (Brooks, ASICS, Bogs), but a 7.5 fit best. They are so unbelievably comfortable. I have foot problems and normally have to wear supportive tennis shoes when walking the kids to school (1.5 miles round trip). However, I made the trip in these boots without pain. Very supportive. And they're waterproof?! Amazing. I hope they make these for years to come. ... show more

I've been on the hunt for black chelsea boots for a while. I have a brown Sorel pair and love them so I decided to try the black. At this price point, these are definitely an investment shoe but I feel confident they will last a long time. Sizing was tough for me - took 3 tries to get it right. They are actually a full size smaller than my other Sorel boots - so for me, these ran big. I am generally a 9 or 9.5 in a shoe and I had to go with an 8.5 to keep my heel from slipping. ... show more

These boot look great but are sized for narrow feet. Not able to wear them. I should have returned them but still sitting in the box in my closet.
