    • One star off due to a minor stacking problem. Everything else is OK.

This is a review of the Sooez 6 Pack Extra Large Pencil Boxs, ASIN B0CMHLG555. The plastic boxes arrived on time and were well packed with shrink wrapped plastic film holding the six boxes together inside a single layer corregated cardboard box. If it rained, the outer cardboard box would certainly get soggy, but the plastic boxes inside would probably be fine due to the shrink wrap plastic. Regardless, the boxes themselves are made of plastic, so they would probably be fine anyway, even without the shrink-wrap. So why is there one star off on this review? It's simple, there's one design flaw with these boxes that I find annoying, but not a big enough problem to force me to return the boxes: With the lids on, these boxes do not stack well at all. Let me try to explain further: Let's say you want to stack six boxes so they all stack well. On five of the six boxes, take the lids off and set them aside. Then on the last box that sits on top of the stack, use one lid. That works well, of-course until you loose one or more of the loose lids lying around! You see, when you take the lid off the box on the bottom, the second box fits perfectly into the top of the first box so the handles on the first box snap onto the second box securely. Unfortunately, that does not work well at all with the lids on all but the top box in a stack. With the lids on all boxes in a stack, they do not stack well at all. Like I said before, this inability to stack well with all the lids on annoys me, but not enough to make me return the boxes. If being able to stack the boxes reliably with the lids on is mission-critical for your storage needs, you might want to try another solution. So that's it, four out of five stars due to the stacking problem. Otherwise there is nothing else to complain about. Right now I have all six boxes stacked up as a single unit with a lid on the top box only. That leaves five loose lids laying around, until I inevitably misplace one or more of the loose lids ;-) Could these boxes have been designed so they would stack properly with or without the lids on? I believe so, but not quite as well as how they stack with the lids off. But a minor change to the lids to capture the box on top should be trivial to do. Trust me, I am an Engineer, I deal with these kind of design choices every day. ... show more

I liked these so much I bought the same 6 pack of boxes a second time! I like that they are clear so one can easily see the contents when stored on my shelves. The other plus for me are the 2 decent latches on these boxes. They WORK! You don’t have to fidget or ‘fight with’ the latches to ‘lock them’! If the box falls, the contents are secure and the latches don’t pop open (which we’ve experienced with other styles!). Definitely recommend for your organizational needs! ... show more

These boxes are the perfect size for my needs. They hold my colored pencils perfectly. Another for my blending stumps and small jar of gamsol. They stack nicely together for storage and transport. One holds extra phone cords and charging blocks neatly and keeps them dust free. Endless uses.
