Description

The HXR-NX100 comes with Sony’s unique 20 mega pixel 1.0-type Exmor R back-illuminated CMOS sensor that delivers high resolution and fantastic low light performance, as well as offering more depth of field control as demanded by today’s diverse shooting requirements. Three independent manual lens rings provide excellent creative control. A fixed Sony G series lens achieves 12x optical zoom, which can be doubled to 24x with Clear Image Zoom making use of the 1.0 type sensor to still deliver a native resolution 1920x1080 image. You can also double the zoom again using a sophisticated Digital Extender for a maximum 48x zoom. There is also a ND Filter function, allowing you to choose four conventional mechanical ND filter positions that will enhance your ability to work in any shooting scenario.

Awesome camcorder so far did have an issue the first time using it outdoors for a while it wouldn't focus right but I think it was the major humidity I was in. I let it set our for a while the next day before firing it up and it worked great. Trying to get to doing more manual settings than relying on the full auto, but what's great about this camcorder is there is individual rings for focus zoom and iris and also a button to remove auto on each. As an example you can still have auto focus but manual iris control. Love this camcorder though...now to get it paid for! ... show more

This is one of the better cameras for the money, that you can find for live streaming from Sony. Only issue is, it seems sellers only have the PAL format in hand and not NTSC which doesn't work for the majority of production equipment that we use here in the states. If buying, reach out to the seller and confirm its the right spec you need. This was advertised for NTSC, but I received a PAL unit, and it looks to be that I am not the only one. ... show more

I used this camera for about 4 or 5 hours and chose to return it. It's a hefty price to pay for something that doesn't do high frame rate in at least HD. I did like the beefyness of the unit. The 3 separate rings were great to dial in on aperture, zoom, and focus. Very unlike the smaller units like the NX-80.
