Description

The Sony ADP-MAA Adaptor allows older Sony accessories that feature an Auto Lock accessory shoe connection to be used with newer cameras that feature the Multi Interface shoe. This allows you to use your existing accessories such as a flash gun with the exciting new range of cameras launched by Sony in late 2012 that feature a Multi Interface hot shoe. The adaptor is lightweight and locks tightly for a secure fit.

This Adaptor worked perfectly. I did not have to buy another External flash.

It was just what I'm looking for. Now I can use my old HVL-F42AM flash on my A6000 with all the goodies!

It works mostly with SONY and 3rd party flash unit. I do wish it wasn't so bulky and the attachment is a quick-release button rather than a wheel. Also, it should be cheaper, but then it's SONY.

  • Would Not Work With My Particular Setup
Style: Single
I'm not sure how to rate this item fairly as it did not work reliably for me, but the problem may have been with the combination of equipment that I was using. I tried to use it with both an RX100ii and an A77ii and a Sigma 610 flash. Operation was extremely erratic. The camera would detect the external flash and disable the built-in flash, but would not reliably fire the Sigma flash no matter what settings I tried. Note that the flash works properly on an A55 with legacy Minolta hot shoe. In the end I decided to return the adapter and purchase a new flash and radio trigger that are designed for the new MI hot shoe. I've wanted a radio trigger for a long time and this finally "pushed me over the edge." Both the new flash and the new trigger work on both MI shoe cameras, confirming that they are working properly. It's possible that the adapter just won't work with this particular non-Sony flash. Thanks to Amazon for making the return and refund quick and painless. ... show more
