  • A great small speaker to give you high-quality audio in a smaller room
Style: 1- Speaker Color: Black
If you're looking to add wireless speakers, etc. to your TV or other entertainment devices, Sonos is the way to go. Sonos is quite expensive, but you're buying not only high-quality audio devices but also the flexibility of being wireless for sound and the interconnectedness of all the Sonos devices. The Sonos app recognizes all of your various devices and makes it easy for them to work together. You can assign devices to specific rooms or, if you want, set up a home audio network where music is played everywhere. The Sonos app also integrates access to Apple Music, Amazon Music, or just the Sonos music that they offer. For a home theater, starting with a Sonos soundbar opens the door for adding other Sonos speakers and a Sonos subwoofer. The sound bar, while using the Sonos application on your smartphone, will recognize other speakers and a subwoofer in the room. You also can configure the speakers to work separately, or they can be part of a surround sound system tied to the Sonos sound bar. The nice thing about each of the system audio components is that individually, you can touch the component (a speaker or soundbar for example) and control the room sound level, so you don't always have to go to the Sonos app on your smartphone to do so. You can get great sound for your entertainment system without requiring a receiver and complicated wiring. Generally, you just need: • A power cable • An HDMI cable for connecting to a TV • Preferably an Ethernet cable so all the devices can work over your Wi-Fi network • The Sonos subwoofer can work wirelessly, without requiring an Ethernet cable connection which is optional ... show more

  • First Sonos Purchase
Style: 1- Speaker Color: Black
Received this speaker one day ago. Setup was easy. Integrated well with Spotify. Bought it to replace a 12 year old Bose portable speaker that finally failed. I opted to not get another portable unit because this speakers stays in the house all the time. I like the old Bose but wanted to try Sonos. Sound is good for a one speaker unit and better then the old Bose but I imagine the Bose have improved over time. Sonos speaker is small but sound is full and rich. Heavy bass users may want a larger speaker or a woofer, but for most using it for music will like it. Will update later if I have any problems. ... show more

  • Excellent Sound, Thoughtful Design (with One Caveat)
Style: 1- Speaker Color: Black
The Sonos Era 100 delivers phenomenal sound quality—clear, rich, and powerful for its size. Whether you’re listening to music, podcasts, or streaming audio, the sound feels full and immersive. The Sonos app integration is seamless. It’s very easy to set up, pair with other Sonos speakers, and connect multiple streaming services all in one place. The app makes managing audio throughout the home simple and intuitive. The only downside is the size. While it looks sleek, it can be a bit difficult to conceal depending on where you plan to place it. If you’re looking for something more portable that can easily move from room to room, the Sonos Move may be a better option. Overall, if sound quality and a smooth user experience are your top priorities—and you have a good spot for it—the Era 100 is an excellent choice. ... show more

  • Sonos restrictions make their products of little use.
Style: 1- Speaker Color: White
These speakers are garbage unless all you want to do is feed them with music from a phone. They can also be used as surround speakers for their soundbar. A single speaker can be used as mono output from a bluetooth device, but connecting it every time is a nuisance. Sonos (stupidly) explicitly refuses to allow setting these up as a stereo pair and then feed them from a bluetooth source. The technology could do this but they don't permit it. In fact if there's a theme with Sonos, it's that the technology could do so much, but Sonos disallows 90 % of everything one would want to do. I don't play music from my phone, I use a desktop. Or I want output from my TV. After buying these I have learned the hard way that everything I want to do is impossible. The only path would be to go through an analog setup but that introduces a world of problems including low fidelity, hum, etc. etc. and my TV only outputs bluetooth or optical digital. If you want to play music from your phone perhaps you won't mind. In addition to all the other problems, the setup process is way too controlling. Precise location sharing is required both to set up and use these speakers. My attempt to play sound even if I do want to use my phone doesn't work if I am only a short distance away in my house. There isn't space to go into all the mind-numbing unfortunate restrictions here but suffice it to say that Sonos ruined what could be a great product with their over-control and short-sightedness. ... show more
