I bought these on a recommendation from one of my favorite YouTubers. These where so easy to put together. They are very solid. Using them for storage in my basement. I previously bought something similar from a different manufacturer and they where a nightmare to assemble.

Put this together yesterday. The directions are very clear. Some things to note. The shelves are MDF and my concern is, no my garage application where it not climate controlled, moisture may cause them to degrade. Tips on putting it together: • You will need a rubber mallet, flathead screwdriver, and (probably) needle nose pliers. The other tools they suggest are only necessary if you are anchoring it to a wall. • Following the instructions, I did the bottom frame fist. When building it up, I intentionally left 2 of the horizontal frame supports (part D) for last. This allowed me to be “inside” as I completed the frame. • Part E has two tabs that must be bent 90° to fit in slots and then another 90° to secure. This is as tricky even with a flathead screwdriver. You really need it to be slightly more than 90° to be able to “grab” the tab and bend it again. Needle nose pliers are very handy for this last bend. I did bend it more to create a sturdier hold. • Don’t put the bottom caps on too snuggly. They will partially cover the bottom keyhole if you do and the frame base will not be secure ( however, if that does happen, a few taps with your rubber mallet will fix it). ... show more

DONT BUY- thin metal, cheap shelves, falls apart with each layer on assembly-silly to get so frustrated and need a break. Highly frustrating. Wanted metal for obvious reasons. Might as well buy aluminum heavy duty. No weight because of this reason.

    • Poor manufacturing tolerances.

Pins refuse to lock into keyholes, keep popping out causing the rail to come loose. One of four couplers did not properly lock at its stop point, so now I need to find a tool to pull it off then pinch the stop point with vice grip pliers before resuming assembly. You will probably find that you need to buy several tools not listed in the instructions, especially sheetmetal bending tools for the mounting of the cross braces to support the shelves. It will be necessary to experiment and improvise in the selection of these tools to find what works. Has taken several times longer to assemble than other brands, and I am still less than halfway there. ... show more
