Using this shelf for office organization. I like the bamboo because it's lightweight and the natural color is great in my room. It comes with straps and screws for attaching to wall for stability. I did not attach it because I sometimes move things, and did not plan to use it for heavy items. I had some wicker baskets that slide onto the shelves and look more tidy than stacks of papers. The thing I like the least is: although the shelves measure 13 inches square, the "slide-through space is about 11 3/4 on the sides and only 10 3/8 across the front due to the width of the uprights. In my case, the baskets I already had are about 1/4 inch too wide and only fit in one direction, so the screws show from the front. I measured several times before I ordered this but didn't realize how the shelf is put together. It is functional and works in my small corner so I will use it anyway. I installed the top two shelves upside down so there is a 3/4 to 1 inch lip on all four sides to keep things from sliding off the higher shelves. We wanted two of these for some clothing and other items in our bedroom. Assembly was quite easy and fast and they fit perfectly in our space. We are especially happy with the fact that these are bamboo, which is much more eco-friendly than some types of wood or plastic. Even though it is a cheap and easy-to-renew material, it is still very sturdy so these shelves will last for years to come. I cannot speak for the working conditions of the people who made these, but the company that owns the brand Songmics (Wuppusen, Inc.) is very new. Hopefully they can build on the success of products like this so their families can continue to prosper. I am considering buying another one of these for our bathroom as well since the dimensions would make it a great fit. The only downside to these shelves might be if you have extremely active children who like to climb but thankfully these shelves are also fairly light. Your child should easily survive these shelves toppling if you leave them unsecured -- if he/she is that active be sure to provide a helmet! **Disclaimer: I am joking about kids climbing on these. The assembly was easy, the material is nice and color is identical to the pictures. However, I noticed one of the rubber bumpers was missing. I thought it could be around but it was not on the box, and actually was never placed on the furniture. If you look at the top right corner on the picture, the hole is clean, whereas the others have bumpers hold with screws. ... show more

Bought this to put my tmoble modem up high next to the window. Seems to work great for that. Seems to be sturdy and looks nice. The wife is talking about ordering 2 for plants. I would recommend. It is better than I expected.
