  • Perfect for eclipse viewing!
I quickly ordered this set for the recent solar eclipse. They arrived rapidly. They are NASA approved for the purpose. These little shades are very nice! Upon wearing them, I found I could see NOTHING except the sun! Utterly black! The sun was rendered a pleasant orange with no rays or glare. We were able to watch the sky wolves take a bite from the sun in complete comfort and awe. With a set like this, we were able to share the view with others, which was fun. I did try to use one over the lens of my phone cam, but it was awkward. I got a couple of blurry shots, lol. These fold nice and compact, so we have a pair in the car for future sun gazing. They seem sturdy enough to last a bit with proper handling - they are just light cardstock and the plastic lenses. Very lightweight but not at all flimsy. They worked well under or over regular glasses too. These also can be used to look at sunspots and the transit of Mercury, they are very nice! ... show more

  • Eclipse Solar Glasses
These worked so well the day of the eclipse ... we looked at it a few times safely with these and even found some people to share with so they had a chance to see something that spectacular. Afterwards we donated it to a charity who shared it with others to watch as well !!

  • Amazing Solar Glasses! Amazing Solar Glasses!
This is an amazing Solar Eclipse glasses! (Attached Image is captured on S25 Ultra) I used this recently and it was amazing. It fits nicely, resists scratch quite impressively, And you can really only see the sun. Although the only issues I've had was the Haze around the sun, Overall it's a bang for it's buck and I would definitely recommend. ... show more

  • Bends easily and a little small but a great view
These will a great pleasure to view the 2023 Annular Eclipse with. I'm holding onto the extras for the total eclipse coming next April. These glasses aren't very tall but I didn't find it to be a big problem since they kept direct sunlight out of the eyes. My other issue with them is that they bent in my pocket when I had them very easily, indicating the cardstock they are made with isn't very strong. But they still worked great for my needs! ... show more

  • These were great......for a 10 minute eclipse.
These were perfect. They are what they are - Cardboard blackout glasses for the eclipse. They're nothing fancy. We used them for the eclipse and looked right at the sun. Best as I can tell, my eyes are fine. No spots, no blindness, no burning and colors seem to be the same as they were before I stared at the sun that day. Would I buy these again? Yes, but I've saved mine. In 20 years, if I'm still around, I'll dig them out and really get my money's worth!! Who will be laughing then? (If I'm still alive, of course) Note to people in the future: If it's 2044 and you're looking to buy glasses for the next eclipse, these worked great back in the old days of 2024. But now that we're talking - how are things in 2044? Are cars still a thing? How is the 55th season of The Simpsons? What's Elon Musk into these days? If you don't know who Elon Musk is, look him up. Otherwise, he may have bought a continent and you are way too aware of who he is. Did the Rolling Stones finally stop touring? Do still have smartphones or do you simply communicate with your mind? Are the aliens friendly? Are they still called "Aliens"? Was anyone able to get rid of that whole "they/them" pronoun deal, or is that still a thing? Is this review being posted in Chinese instead of the old timey English language? How hot does it get in the summer now? Well - hope all is well in 2044. ... show more

  • Excellent glasses, able to use over prescription lenses Excellent glasses, able to use over prescription lenses
These were great glasses for viewing the 2024 eclipse. I preferred the plastic American Paper Optics Eclipser HD($29) for a slightly redder, more comfortable tint and view. The sun has a yellow tint through these, but they are excellent, and the price was great. They are paper and very light. They are sufficiently sturdy to survive mailing in a paper envelope and being passed around. No problems with fit and I was able to place than over prescription lenses. I did keep my hand on them, because I did not want to risk my vision if they were to slip. They are American made, meet the current ISO standards, are sufficiently dark, and can be used for years to come as long as they are not scratched or damaged. ... show more

  • Inexpensive and functional item for the curious
What can I say but they work. Refraining from staring at the eclipse for an hour, for the brief minute or so that I looked at it, I didn't feel any eye discomfort or strain and didn't feel like the glasses were dangerous. The way I see it, this item helps satiate curiosity of a live eclipse that only happens so often. So considering it will likely get used only here and there, once in a long while, there was no reason to spend a bundle if it could be avoided. So I had two requirements... (1) that it was cheap and (2) that they work and are safe. These fit the bill just fine. I didn't even need five so I gave four to my neighbor's family so they could as a family of four enjoy them together. It's also a plus that they fold flat like a pair of old 3d movie glasses so I just dropped them in my kitchen utility drawer for whenever the occasion comes along. Good buy, glad I bought. ... show more
