It was time to update my deck chair. I looked at lots of options from lots of places. Finally I chose this one because it looked like the best quality for the money. First of all it arrived early. Then the task of putting it together. The directions were easy to follow. Most important is make sure the screws are straight and leave slack, do not tighten. I was able to put it together rather quickly, even with my dogs in my face trying to "help" me! Attached the back to seat, and then sides. Tightened all screws....added the cushions and done. It is a very sturdy chair with nice thick cushions. It was a bit larger than expected, with a nice roomy seat. Rocking motion is just right, and not rocking the chair sits up with no tilt back. The directions do recommend to cover or bring the chair in for extended poor weather conditions. All and all the chair looks as pictured, sturdy and comfortable with plenty of room. I received & assembled this chair yesterday, & it is already bringing me hours of enjoyment on my front porch. Other reviews are spot on - it is sturdy, nice looking, & comfortable. The assembly was not too bad, doing it by myself. However, even following the directions to not tighten screws until the last step, one screw would not go in all the way. The wicker is plastic & a neutral, brownish gray. The chair rocks well, & is quite roomy. If you are "big & tall," it will suit you. With my shorter legs, I needed to add a lumbar pillow. Still, I am quite pleased & hope the chair will survive a long time on my covered porch. Just wish they offered a side table to go with it. UPDATE: I ordered a second to have a pair. It had slight defect in one of the rocker rails, but nothing a little epoxy couldn't fix. UPDATE: Just came back to say 2 years later that these are still one of my best purchases - they get blasted by the sun on my south-facing porch, so I keep the cushions covered with a blanket, and the chairs still look brand new. We’re both taller and wanted a rocker that felt more substantial. At 5’7” and 6’ we love them! They rock smoothly. The armrests are wide so it’s comfortable to rest on.
