I am 42, with medium olive acne prone, oily skin, who is trying to help slow aging (without injections or facelifts) while not causing breakouts at the same time. So after using this for some time I can tell you, it does get rid of skin discolorations very noticeably. After my breakout heals, sometimes the acne will leave behind a dark spot for a long while and the Solawave helped to lighten these type of discolorations. I also had one sun spot on my neck, which it also lightened. I do feel like it helps redistribute puffiness, increases circulation, & massages plus warms the muscles of the face so they are not as tight… so it has the potential to increase collagen & slow wrinkles. Does my skin feel tighter & do I have less wrinkles? Idk, maybe, maybe not. I feel like it does at least temporarily, & perhaps it is preventing further wrinkles. My skin is oily though, so I do not have that much wrinkles compared to others my age. I do have dark undereye circles (no eye bags) and I do NOT notice a difference in them lightening. At least they aren’t darkening. I also do not notice any permanent shrinkage of pores. Lastly, I was allergic to the pretty blue Hyaluronic acid serum the device came with, & broke out the few times I used it. I am able to use my own serums that I am not sensitive to with the Solawave instead. You should have your skin very hydrated when using the Solawave wand on your skin, else it will make your skin dry & flake. I use serums & moisturizers before using the wand, then additional moisturizer afterwards. I would definitely buy this again & am thinking of getting my mom one for Mother’s Day. You have to keep it in constant motion or it’ll stop working. Clearly it’s an issue because the directions address what to do when it stops, and sometimes those things work and sometimes they don’t. At first I was doing a part of my face and then stopping and putting serum on the next area, and stopping to turn the head, it would intermittently stop working and I’d do the things the directions suggested and then it straight-up stops working. You have to let it sit for a long while or plug it in. I’ve found that the only way to use it is to keep the head in one position and just keep using it constantly until your done. Since I initially wrote this review, I changed the way I used it and put the serum all over my face before I use it. I will tell you that it has changed the texture of my skin and has reduced my puppet lines and has tightened my next. I use it everyday and really started noticing the results after a month and a half. So ultimately, I’ve decided that it’s worth the money, even with the performance issues. ... show more

This is probably a great product, if the instructions were clear. One important thing, that a lot of people probably miss, is that it states, DO NOT USE A FAST CHARGER. This needs to be in bold in the instruction manual. This is probably the main cause of the device not working for many people. Also, when I charged the device for the first time, the light on the device stayed on. I assumed that meant that it was charging. I waited 2 hrs. When I returned to the device, the light was blinking. I considered that to mean the device was charged. I used the device on my forehead area. It worked fine. When I went to use it under my eyes, it didn’t work. So I plugged it in again. The second time I plugged it in, the light on the device started blinking. I now understood that a blinking light meant charging and when the light stayed on, that meant that it was fully charged. It needs to state this in the manual as well. Once the light stopped blinking. I attempted to use the device again, it didn’t work at all. The problem definitely stemmed from the charging. I made sure my charger was compatible, which says it should be 5v charger. I’m not certain what caused the malfunction but if this device actually worked, I know I’d get a lot of use out of it. ... show more

I got this about 2 weeks ago so I can’t really speak to the collagen building results yet. I use it on my face and chest while watching tv. Honestly, even if it doesn’t build collagen I’d still use it, it gets pretty warm after a while and I find it to feel like a little hot massage. I love this product but mine broke within 6 months of using it. At first the red light would only come on sometimes but not the next. Then when I would twist the time that part would pull out and the wires come out also. I really wish it didn’t know bc I would love to continue to use this product.

I've fully charged the wand twice now and it only works 4 to 5 minutes and needs a charge. UPDATE: I contacted Solwave and explained what the wand was doing. They had excellent customer service and have sent me a new replacement wand. I haven't received the new wand yet but the customer service was so great I am changing my review. ... show more
