Works great. As soon as you plug it in the cooling fan is on automatically which is a good feature one less thing to worry about. I used it on several broken cradle bolts. Took around 40 seconds to heat each one up cherry red. Cools down quickly afterwards. There is a led light also that helps. Light up the area when in use. The light is on only when it's under a load/ heating up. Over all I am pleased with this purchase I would recommend purchasing this item

Love this thing, so neat! In my limited automotive use so far, I have been mostly impressed with this tool. I have successfully heated both a tie rod nut, and stabilizer nuts red hot, making them super easy to remove. They heated up fast, within 90 seconds, red hot. However, it won't perform miracles, I had a stuck FWD axle nut, and while it heated it up, it timed out before it got it red hot. Had to resort to a torch to get it hot enough to remove fully. That is a lot to ask of an inductive heater, there is a lot of metal to heat there. Very satisfied overall!

This thing works great. Bolts get super hot super fast, but I prefer the ol torch when I can because being plugged in sucks.

Purchased this device hoping it would get the job done. Unfortunately it did not work with impact or breaker bar, actually still broke my breaker bar so i doubt its actually doing anything but heating the bolt up to not help. I went in not expecting much but i cant see paying $200 on a machine that doesnt work. Also once you plug this device in the fan is on no on/off switch on this devices.

Love the tool. Used it on everything from exhaust systems to manifold bolts. Heats up everting in second and save a lot of time. Only regret is I did not buy the one with the case. Highly recommend. Great addition to any mechanics tool box.

Replaced exhaust parts and nut had 20 years of weathering, I was very nervous about breaking the studs. Each nut required two heat cycles but they spun off with very little effort. Kept to the 2 min on, 5 min off cycle on the tool. Coils did burn a bit, but I think they should be considered consumables. Not sure about longevity of tool, but not breaking those studs was worth the cost.

I had a bolt that I tried to remove for a month. Bought every wrench and socket and continued to round the bolt off but couldnt get it to budge. let this thing heat it up for 5 minutes and put a wrench on it and it came free with no effort. Everyone who works on vehicles should own one of these.
