  • Great for all burns, scraps, cuts, ect.
I've always kept a can of Solarcaine around for sunburns. The 4 oz. can is small and easy to store. The nozzle is childproof and can be a pain to operate. I accidentally burned my arm while loading the woodstove, and the pain was pretty immediate. I grabbed the Solarcaine and gave it a spray. It has a slight cooling sensation, which felt nice on the burn, and the lidocaine helped numb the pain pretty quickly. It didn't completely eliminate the discomfort, but it took the edge off and made it much more manageable. I'm not sure if it necessarily sped up the healing process, but it did make things more comfortable. It is made in USA. ... show more

  • Great for sunburn!
Works great when you have spent too much time in the sun without sunscreen. The effect is almost instant and the skin also gets moisturized. I fins using this at the first hint of sunburn speed up the healing time significantly. One can also last a whole season if you remember to use sunscreen most the time :) ... show more

  • Nice spray, very secure cap
This worked well on my sunburn and provided some much needed relief... once I figured out how to get the cap working. I looked all over the bottle for instructions but had to just figure it out- there's a small push button near the gear thing you have to push that and turn it so the pushed in button slides to the right. I don't have the coordination to manage this without a struggle. Child and adult proof! ... show more

  • Spray liberally on any burn, scrape, or itch for relief.
Solarcaine Aloe Sunburn Relief Spray with 4% Lidocaine - After Sun Care Relief Spray for Burns, Scrapes, & Itch - Soothes & Cools Skin - 4 oz. First impressions: Nice spray can full of sunburn relief spray. It smells like the same stuff I have used most my life. Installation/setup: Spray liberally on any burn, scrape, or itch for relief. There's a button to push in to turn the lid to use. Final thoughts: I used this on my finger when I burned it with oil while cooking. The burn was very mild but I had accidentally got hot oil under my fingernail, burning my finger there. Every time I bumped the finger it would sting a bit until I sprayed this on it. The sting went away immediately. I like this and I’m glad I got it. ⭐️1 star - I don't recommend it at all, poor quality. ⭐️⭐️ 2 stars - I don't recommend it, it has multiple faults, or a very high price. ⭐️⭐️⭐️ 3 stars - It's passable, It has some faults but the quality is ok for what it is. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 4 stars - Product quite acceptable, it does what it promises. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 stars - Product that I totally recommend. ... show more

  • Beware the safety lid
I like Solarcaine, always have and this is basic Solarcaine. You burn, you spray this on, and it works. This has a new type of safety lid that I assume is meant to protect children and college graduates. Honestly, I considered just taking a screwdriver to it and ripping the lid off completely. In a bright light and close up I was finally able to determine that there was a weird button in a not convenient place that you push in, and then you can turn the safety lid. NOWHERE does it mention this stupid little button, you have to figure it out for yourself. So if you have major safety concerns about anyone mistakenly hurting themselves with Solarcaine, get this can. Otherwise, just get a plain old can of Solarcaine. Either way, it's a good product. ... show more

  • Pain relief AND skin-soothing!
When I get a sunburn, I feel like topical products are either for pain relief or soothing/cooling of the skin. This product is both!! There is lidocaine in this product, so it ever so slightly numbs the skin. It also has aloe in it, which provides a wonderful cooling sensation. I have trusted Solarcaine for years and this product exemplifies why I keep coming back to this brand. I use this Solarcaine for very bad sunburns and feel as though it helps more than anything else I have tried. It also has the benefit of being a spray-on product. Sometimes it hurts to rub aloe into a sunburn, so this is much less irritating to the skin. Highly recommend! ... show more

  • "No rub", but may be some dripping
It goes on without having to rub it in, and the effect is pretty quick, but particularly if sprayed on a vertical 'surface' (like the side of an arm or leg), it may dribble a bit down, which you can absorb with a tissue or similar. 7-yr old suggested it still stung a bit for a little while, but may have been an interpretation of a new sensation, or we didn't use quite enough on her, as she did confirm that it hurt much less than before. ... show more

  • HATE the lid
The product itself is great. It does give fast pain relief on sunburns. I really like the product. The lid on the other hand, I hate with a passion. It's insanely hard to open. If you have long nails, you won't be able to open it on your own. Even if you don't have long nails, you might not be able to open it. It took me about 5 minutes of trying to press the button hard enough while trying to slide it sideways to get it to open. And now my fingers hurt. ... show more
