This review is for "Solar LED Strip Lights Outdoor, 32.8ft 560 LEDs Solar Powered Mult-Color Changing LED Strip with 8 Lighting Modes IP67 Waterproof Decorative Rope Lights for Yard Trees Garden (32.8ft)." The light strip arrived undamaged. The light strip was packaged in a cardboard box with additional plastic bags around the different components. The box contained the light strip on a plastic wheel, the solar panel, a ground stake, a remote, a bunch of small zip ties, a package of screws and wall anchors, and a package of nail on clip things plus a small paper with some instructions. I was initially impressed with the quality of the late start. They are covered with some sort of a rubbery waterproof coating. The solar panel was larger than what you normally see on smaller solar yard lights. I installed the lights yesterday afternoon (Wednesday November 23, 2022) making sure the solar panel is positioned for the most sun exposure. Last night the lights stayed on until somewhere between 6:00 and 6:30, and I thought maybe I had inadvertently touched the 3-hour timer button on the remote. I did like the look of the lights while they were on. I didn't like that. I had to be within about 3 ft of the solar panel for the remote to work. Tonight the lights were off already when we got home from Thanksgiving a little before 6pm. They must have received a small amount of charge from the motion sensor flood light on the front of our garage because while that light was on they would turn on for 5-10 seconds approximately every 2-3 minutes. It was quite strange. Today was mostly overcast but not a super dark day. I'm hoping that tomorrow evening we will have better results. If they don't stay on until at least 6 p.m. I'm going to have to lower my rating. That's ridiculously poor performance for Christmas lights. It's not like we live at the North Pole or somewhere where it gets dark at 2 in the afternoon. Top score I can give right now is two stars, especially considering the listing price of $26.60 when I ordered, which is really expensive for lights that don't work very well. If the performance I'm currently experiencing changes either for the better or the worse I will amend my rating. Update 11/25/22: yesterday I changed the settings on the lights so that they are dimmer and that they are on setting seven flashing on and off instead of always on. Also today was sunny all day. It's currently 8:50 p.m. and the lights are still working. Raising rating to four stars. ... show more

Love the lights and the ease of installation. Unfortunately these only will charge with the USB. The solar panels will not charge. I’ve even brought them in my house and tried charging with my lights. If you are able to charge these via usb they last 2 nights. Unfortunately, where we live is very dark and I was hoping these would help light our nights when coming home from work. If I have to manually charge then instead of the sun these do not work for me. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. Mixed reviews...The remote isn't that great. You have to be up on the solar panel in order for it to work and the modes don't work that great either. The lights are ok. I plan to keep it for as long as it works

Why just a hair under 5 stars? Even though this is super easy to set up and get running, the "brackets" are flimsy and don't help all that much in hanging them. I would call it a cross between a rubber and silicone feel. They stretch pretty easily and aren't very sturdy. They will hold up the strip pretty well but the material of the brackets makes it a pain. ... show more

I got these in order to put some "soft" lighting on the soffit of the cover over my front stoop. I have worked with indoor strip/rope LED lights, but his is the first outdoor strip I've used. I was surprised to see that the entire strip was encased in a clear silicon sleeve; I guess this is to waterproof the strip. Since the silicon sleeve it was very flexible, it didn't cause a problem. The solar charging panel is seems typical of other small solar-powered lights, but had a brightly colored cover over the on-off button and light-mode button. I'm not sure how useful that is, since the colorful red bubble over the on-off button cracked the first time I pressed it. I don't think it will impact the operation of the unit, though, it seems to be a purely decorative overlay of the buttons below. One thing I didn't like about these lights is how short the mounting arm is that you use to attach the solar panel to an eave. My front door faces north, so I needed a mounting arm that is longer than 6 inches. I ended up having to attach it to a spare bracket I had to get it mounted where it could charge all day. The second thing I don't like about it is the soft silicon brackets/straps that come with it to mount. They are soft (think collapsible silicon bowl soft) and wiggly. If you don't want to use silicon caulk to mount it (which it suggests), you are supposed put little screws into the two holes on these wiggly silicon straps as you hold the light strip in place. If I had gotten out some clamps and other tools, it probably wouldn't have been as frustrating to put up where I was trying to put them, but who wants to pull out a bunch of tools to put up a simple strip of solar LED lights? I finally got them up, and they did what I wanted them to do. They've only been up for 2 days, but so far, so good. If they stop working at any point in the near future, I'll update this review. I'm giving 4 instead of 5 stars because of the extra effort I had to go through to find a way to extend the mounting arm length and for frustration in using the silly silicon straps to mount the strand. ... show more
