Pros: You don't need much sunlight. The solar charging is very sensitive and will instantly start charging (even in shadows.) Doesn't charge fast, but it's good enough. Feels rugged. Built-in flashlight is strong enough and compass is useful. Cons: Input cover is a little flimsy, but works. Flashlight button placement blends in and was confusing to find. Haven't tested durability, but the solar panel will definitely take some scuffs if dropped

I originally bought this solar power bank for my godson's boy scout camp gear, but now it’s basically my little sidekick everywhere I go. (I will purchase him another one) It’s sturdy, waterproof, and somehow always has extra power waiting for me because if you know -you know. I am that one who constantly forgets to charge my phone half the time. The solar panel is perfect for when you don't have access to power to get a charge up. This thing lasts forever. The USB‑C port charges my phone super-fast, which is perfect when I’m running around all day as I normally am. I also found that it comes in handy to charge your tablet while waiting in traffic. Highly recommend. Oh-and it is great for those who have their own "bugout" bags. One never knows. Always Be Prepared.

Ordered this power bank for storms. I have not used it yet, but it is very light weight and compact. I did turn it on try it out very quickly and it charged my phones. This will come in handy during hurricane season.

INITIAL Review: I purchased this Power Bank October 24, 2022 and over a recent weekend trip in March 2024, it decided to give up the ghost. It would no longer hold a charge. Solar aspect was gimmicky at best and didn't provide an real recharging. Next tie, I'm going with a name brand company. UPDATE: Because the flashlight still worked, I was going to donate this charger to the locals during a recent trip to Central America, but then it started working again so I kept it. This charger is still going strong. I believe that it's inability to charge earlier was because of a faulty cord or charger base. The solar is good enough to charge if you leave it by a window sill for approximately 3 days.

This review covers the power bank supplying power to the GL-MT3000 vpn router also purchased from Amazon. The GL draws 4.92 volts at 0.56 amps thus pulling approximately 2.75 watts. Using these numbers the 20000 mAh battery in theory should power the router for over 37 hours. After using this power bank the first indicator led turned off after the first 2.5 hours. I did notice the weight of the power bank as well as it's build quality. As far of the weight it is not as heavy as a 20000 mopie power bank I currently have had for a couple of years. The build of the unit seems to be kind of the middle of the road. One thing that I have notice is that this is a Lipo battery according to the documentation shipped with the unit. However, information listed on the website defines it as a Lithium-ion battery. That being the reason that I ordered this unit in the first place so beware. Now haveing this unit I did do some research as to the safty of this battery type. One thing I have done with each battery pack that I have purchased for Lithium-ion as well as this power pack is the safty bags for when storing or traveling with power banks as a safety precausion. Now should the power bank actually last for the 37 hours take away an hour or two. It will provide the runtime I was looking for should I get stuck in an airport without access to an electrial outlet I can still use the VPN router to connect to public wifi without having to worry about security. As a side note I have setup VPN on the router using Proton's `VPN free option using Japan, Netherlands as well as USA for locations. Overall the router along with this power bank will give the average user the ablity to share with others in their traveling group a worry free wireless connection via VPN. I am looking to see if the solar feature of this powerbank will help with the unit by providing a trickel charge during it use within the airport. This should work if the light source is strong enough to provide what is required by the solar screen to charge.

I find that some reviews did not help me to decide on this portable battery charger. I have not seen any issues except with the cover for the plug-in USB and charger that is very sharp edges and I advise you to remove it so you won't get hurt. Now, question the product, it is very well built and looks strong. I initially follow the instructions and charge 10 hours before using. After that, I tested and it charged my iPhone in 1 1/2 hours. I had to plug in and plug out to reach 100% charge but it did it. So, I have no complaints. In relation to battery life and durability, only time will tell. But so far, I am ready to order another one for my wife.
