I really like this gadget over a similar digital orange aluminum one. I had no issues zeroing it and it has remained accurate so far. It's a great size to carry around in a pocket and the Bluetooth app is very useful. However, the beep is inaudible from just a couple of inches away (same with my orange one), even in a dead quiet room. The tone is also highly directional from the front of the unit - maybe 45 degrees off axis there's no sound. The beep does not translate to the phone app, either. The beep does increase cycle rate as you approach level so you can tell how close you're getting until a constant tone (if you can hear it, that is). If Sola would add the beep to the phone app, or make it louder, I'd give this 5 stars. I have 2 of the very expensive electronic yellow levels and they're the only ones that the beep is loud enough to be useful, even feet away. If I need audible feedback, one of the yellow ones goes with me.

Really nice instrument. Having the app on the phone makes remote measurements a breeze. Used it locate level on an old loader bucket that has no level indication and cant be seen from the cab. Just put in on top and the magnetic base sticks to the bucket, then read the angle inside the cab off the phone. Works perfectly.

Put against my 4' Stabila there is a difference. I think the Sola GO Smart has its uses, but I don't think it will replace my Stabila. The Sola is sensitive and paired with a quality level, it will work in most cases. It also has other uses that the 4' Stabila won't work in due to its size. This was exactly the reason for the purchase. I will get much use out of this little guy.

The quality is generally super! and the size is just perfect! Ecstatically very pleasant and beautiful and pleasant to the touch plastic. Before this one, I had a well-known brand "Klein Tools Digital Electronic Level", that was terrible, especially a very flexible film screen, when I touched it to clean it up, it flexed and distorted the display with a black spot (like spilled ink)! Compared to Klein Tools, this one has a fairly solid screen and solid buttons, and easy access to changing batteries! At Klein Tools, in order to change the battery, it was necessary to find a very small screwdriver somewhere and unscrew the screw. At SOLA the battery cover is retractable and it sits tightly in place so you won't lose it. About automatic off - when you are not using it, after 1 minute of inactivity the screen goes out and after 3 minutes it turns off completely. The Bluetooth function is something new and interesting, well, honestly, I don’t know whether I or you will need it, it may come in handy someday. Well, or at least through the application, you can control it and change the settings, for example, you forgot which combination to enable or disable the sound notification :) By the way, the sound notification is a very good function - when you approach the 0/90/180/360 degree (before one degree and after one degree) the device signals you with a different tone depending on how close you are to the value and depending on whether you approach or recede by degrees, it starts the signal. There is only one of the con in my opinion - a magnet on only one side. And the price, of course, bites a little) but those who love good quality and beautiful tools should buy it

This is a fantastic little level. I have a ton of uses for it, but the convenient size makes it most valuable to me for the stupidest possible job—making sure the pictures in my house and office are all level. Just whip this little level out, stick it on the center of the frame and you’re good to go. No need running to the basement or the garage and pulling out a long level. It’s all right here in percentages, inches and mm. This is equally adept at more sophisticated jobs as well. Several years ago we were putting an addition on a house and we needed to make sure the ridge board for the new gable was level. Well, you can have a guy stand up there with a level and yell at you as you shim (or cut) at one end of the ridge or you can use this little device’s Bluetooth communication with its own app on your phone to tell you how far off level you are. Really, this thing is great and can be used a thousand ways. Kind of an awesome little thing. And while I like using a laser level for certain jobs, this is a quick-and-not-so-dirty way to shoot a level without having to go to the trouble of getting the laser out. And of course, it’s often able to replace a bubble level. The one drawback with the small size of this unit is that if you’re measuring something that’s warped you may not realize it with such a small contact surface and you may end up making a significant error. So I don’t think this is meant for absolutely mission-critical long measurements, but for so much else it’s just great
