  • Excellent Quality Excellent Quality
Flavor Name: Fuji Ceremonial Q Size: 1.05oz / 30g
2 Things to know about this tea. 1. My fault for not paying attention to the description, it is a tiny amount of tea. 2. It is hands-down the best tasting match I have every had! Do, buy it for the outstanding quality, but be aware of how little you will be getting :)

The reviews made this seem promising, but I’ve had better matcha for the price

  • SOKYO ceremonial matcha powder series - 1.05oz
Flavor Name: Fuji Ceremonial Q Size: 1.05oz / 30g
This matcha is so smooth and vibrant. It has a very full, fresh, and bold flavor, and it isn't dry or bitter. It whisks really easily with hot water and gives that perfect, creamy cup with a rich aroma and a super clean finish. We use it with a standard matcha set that has the bamboo whisk we soak a bit before using and that makes a difference too... *Chef's Kiss* Overall amazing quality but pricy considering I can get either a 3oz tub or 6oz bag of matcha powder at the store for the same price. But the quality and taste and overall experience is hands down incredible. I'll definitely order this brand of matcha again. For affordability, I think that if you're on a budget, but this is the one thing you're doing every day as part of your self love and self care routine I can see going all out with this stuff.. Personally, I kind of prefer to have it a bit more rationed out so it feels like a really lovely special treat or pick-me-up a couple times per week. ... show more

  • decent matcha; less my preference but I think that's a matter of personal taste
Flavor Name: Fuji Ceremonial Q Size: 1.05oz / 30g
This review is for a 30g package of ceremonial grade Japanese matcha powder. I have tried several different brands of ceremonial matcha, and I think I am very accustomed to a certain flavor profile. Compared to my "usual" matcha, I noticed a few things about the SOKYO matcha. First, the grind is just a little more coarse. Not to the point of being noticeably gritty, just that it sifts and mixes a little differently. It is a darker green color, and from what I understand, the tea leaves for matcha are grown in the shade so that they do not develop as much chlorophyll, so this greener color makes me think the leaves saw a little more sun. That might account for some of the deeper flavors - which I personally am less a fan of than my regular matcha, but I think it has more to do with preference than which matcha is superior. I won't hesitate to use this up, but perhaps I would try one of their other blends rather than reordering this specific one - but again, only because of taste preference, not because there is concern with the quality. One of my friends thinks all matcha tastes like "pond water" so your mileage may vary! Something review-readers should know about Vine reviews: Yes, we receive the product at no cost in exchange for an honest review, but 1) we do receive a tax form for “Non-Employee Compensation” reflecting taxable income based on the listed price of the items, and 2) I was instructed not to review items that I receive defective or damaged as it “may not be the fault of the seller/manufacturer” so ratings heavily influenced by Vine reviews may not account for a lack of product reliability. Just something to consider, as I know reviews guide my purchases and I appreciate taking all factors into consideration.. ... show more

  • good matcha tea
Flavor Name: Fuji Ceremonial Q Size: 1.05oz / 30g
This is Sokyo ceremonial matcha powder. The power has a vibrant green color and fine powdery texture. The powder dissolved well when prepared properly, I sifted it through a strainer, then whisk it with a bamboo whisk. The matcha tasted fresh with a deep taste and no bitterness. It makes very good matcha latte, which keeps me energized for a whole morning. I'd highly recommend ... show more

  • A nice matcha tea to enjoy A nice matcha tea to enjoy
Flavor Name: Fuji Ceremonial Q Size: 1.05oz / 30g
I am not a matcha know-it-all, but I do occasionally enjoy a good cup of matcha. Had run out of matcha, so I ordered the 1.05 ounce package of SOKYO Ceremonial Matcha Powder from Japan. Strengths: 1 This was enjoyable cup of matcha. It tasted rich with a somewhat grassy aroma and flavor. 2 At the time of order in November 2025, the price was about $24.00. Now this seems very expensive, but when you consider a matcha cost, this price is in line with other quality matcha tea and is a fair value for your money spent. Drawbacks: None at this time. Overall: An enjoyable matcha with a pleasant green color. (I don't think my photo captured the true green color.) ... show more

  • So smooth, so delicious, tastes great in a latte! So smooth, so delicious, tastes great in a latte!
Flavor Name: Fuji Ceremonial Q Size: 1.05oz / 30g
I’m very much a matcha latte person and pretty particular about the matcha I buy, and this SOKYO ceremonial matcha really surprised me in the best way. The flavor is rich and full without being bitter, which is something I struggle with when trying new brands. It has that smooth, slightly creamy taste that makes lattes feel indulgent even without a lot of added sweetener. It also gives me the kind of energy I love from matcha. I feel awake and focused but still calm, not jittery like coffee can make me. There’s a very balanced, almost zen feeling that lasts through the morning, which makes this perfect for workdays or slow mornings at home. The powder itself is very fine and whisks easily with no clumps, and the color is a bright vibrant green, which always tells me it’s good quality. A little goes a long way, so even though the tin isn’t huge, it’s worth it for ceremonial grade matcha. If you love matcha lattes or are looking for a smooth, high quality matcha with clean energy, I’d definitely recommend this one. I’ll be buying it again. ... show more

  • Very nice matcha Very nice matcha
Flavor Name: Fuji Ceremonial Q Size: 1.05oz / 30g
This is a very nice ceremonial grade matcha. The color is a nice mix of brightness and depth. The texture is not quite as smooth as I’d hoped. Matcha can be tested for color and texture by running a bit across a piece of white paper. The texture should run across very smoothly for the highest quality matcha. This one was a little bit grainy but not bad. The aroma and taste are very good, smooth not bitter. A very nice matcha. ... show more
