I end up pulling it off when I hear a noise. The head band is now my go to band. It stays in place. Doesn't slip around on my small head. May be too small for average. I order one in a cow print king size and liked it so much that I ordered three more, in red , royal blue and light blue. All of them are super soft and true to color on the picture. My cat loved the blankets too. I will order one more in twin size for my baby boy. I washed the blankets the first time in our front load washer, all of the blankets did very well even in the dryer.
