It's awesome to have if you are spending time outside bringing drinks. It keeps your items cold for 6hrs, cool for +10hrs. Just a tip, doesn't fit in back of golf cart and is not discrete; it will get taken away from the Golf Pro. Hopefully the zipper is heavy duty and lasts forever; am scared to rip it off when opening and closing, but it's keeping its seal. That'll be the part that breaks. ... show more

This cooler will hold ice all day in 93° heat. It’s amazing how long it will keep drinks cold. I absolutely love it. The only thing that concerns me is the zipper. It works fine but definitely takes a fair bit of effort to open and close. I hope the zipper stands the rest of time!!

Ok, so the claim that this ice chest will hold ice for 5 days is insane and riduclous and almost embarrassing. I did a lot of research on this ice chest before my purchase. With that being said this ice chest will hold ice for one day in 100 degree weather. Meaning fill it up in the am and when your done at the end of the day your items will be cold, you might even possibly have some ice left. This is a great ice chest for boaters. If you own a boat you don't want hard plastic ice chest on your boat. This has a soft bottom that will not scratch your boat. The down side to the bottom of this ice chest is there is no protection. I think this ice chest is made very well, it wipes down easily and the zipper is extremely solid. If you are extremely hard on ice chest this is probably not for you . But for an every day ice chest for either a golf cart ride a barbecue or a boat ride this is a great ice chest and holds a lot. I would've liked to seen a little bit more outer storage for cell phones and other items . I would strongly suggest that if you are someone who drinks beer out of a bottle to make sure nobody leaves the bottle caps inside of the ice chest so that it doesn't puncture the ice chest .as far as an overview this is a great ice chest I would have liked to seen it for a little cheaper and hope that it comes down on the price ... show more

I bought this one for quick day trips / taking things home from the store here in very hot Texas. I also got a couple of the reusable ice packs to use with it and they work well. This is a soft sided cooler it is light with very thick sides and secure zip top. Some have said that the zipper is hard to use and it is but they give you a packet of zipper lube (yes you have to lube the plastic zipper weird but it works) that makes a huge difference. I have used it with the ice packs a few times while out and leaving the cooler in a hot car, my drinks were still ice cold at the end of the day. I do not have one of the hard side coolers so can't compare but for me the trade off in weight and size is worth it. at the end of the day, the ice packs are melted so this might not be a good choice for a week long camping trip but it is Texas and it is over 100 so as long as my drinks stay cold for the day and they do-- im very happy and impressed my other one didn't last near as long. I have several RTIC products and love them all - why pay twice as much for the other big name? its a cooler..... just a cooler. ... show more

This is a great cooler for durability, staying dry arm cold, and at a competitive price! The zipper is also very sturdy, but can be challenging to open unless you are using 2 hands and using your muscles! It does come with lubrication to assist with loosening it up.

    • Strong Chemical Smell
The Good: This cooler is pretty decent for the price. I've been trying it out by leaving it in my car trunk with a Zero F Cooler Freezer Pack carefully placed in there (it barely fits diagonally) and a few cans of soda. With temp highs in the mid-70s and my car sitting in the sun about 10 hours a day, the freezer pack is completely soft by the end of the 1st day but still cool to the touch. The inside stays cool for about 3 or 4 days. I did not pre-chill the cooler, since it doesn't fit in my fridge (unless I empty the fridge). I figure that's pretty decent performance, considering I didn't load up with cooler packs/ice. The straps are comfortable to use, although I was disappointed to see that the strap attachment hardware is all plastic. I don't know how well the stitching will hold up, as I have not loaded this up yet. The outer covering is waterproof, as far as I can tell. No need to worry about where you set it down, unlike some cheaper competing products. The Bad: It had a very strong chemical smell when I first opened it. I left it open by an open window for 3 days, and the smell was mostly gone. However, after leaving it in my car trunk for a few days, the smell is back, as strong as ever. I deducted a full star for this. I have to wonder what kind of chemical residue is being left on the soda cans. I strongly recommend wiping the cans down thoroughly before popping them open. It's made in China, which is how they keep the cost down, compared to their US made competition. ... show more
