I had this assembled in less than 20 minutes. They look smart and can hold up, even to heavyweights. The only issue, which is common to vinyl covered upholstery is that the material can be torn easily with a sharp object such as keys or even a butter knife. Sadly, this happened when we put them out but for no fault of the manufacturer. We are looking to repair or most likely attach a cushion so little rascals won't be tempted to do it again.

I ordered these stools to use outside at our tall round table. They fit there very well. The stools are bar height in comparison to normal counter height. The seats are comfortable and I like the look of the wooden backs. They are definitely stools and therefore smaller seatwise and backwise than an average chair. They make a good addition to our patio area for when we need extra seats or to use for kiddos. They are solid and do not swivel or have any height adjustment. They are a good basic stool option.

I ordered these to use in my workshop. I particularly liked that the backrest was actually wood (well, laminate) and not some sort of vinyl. The seat is firm and comfortable, though I think sitting on it for long periods may become uncomfortable, depending on your posture. They feel very sturdy to me at 225 pounds. With four points of contact to the floor, they are a great deal more stable than stools mounted on a single pedestal. These stools do not allow height adjustment, nor does the seat swivel. The lack of a height adjustment might be a problem for some folks, so do make sure you carefully measure you bar/bench/counter/whatever. The seat is 30 inches off the floor and the standard counter height in homes is 36". So 30" stools would give you a comfortable 6" to get your knees and thighs under the counter. The stool was pretty easy to assemble, except the instructions are, like many other "assemble-it-yourself" items these days, completely pictographs. It would have been helpful if they had added a little text warning you to not tighten *anything* until the entire stool was assembled. After each step, I dutifully tightened all the screws, only to have to loosen them for the next step. The last step, when you put on the back rest required me to go back and loosen all the screws I had put in. Trying to force some parts before I realized I had to loosen the previously tightened screws results in some scratches, though that really isn't all that important for a workshop stool.
