these socks are awesome. The big toe separation works great for my bunions. They are snug yet gives well at the toes. Having bunions for years, comfortable socks are rare.. I broke my big toe on my right foot yeas ago, and it healed overlapping the toe next to it. Over the years it has gotten worse and more uncomfortable, these socks rally help with keeping my toes separated and comfortable! I need to wear only one sock out of the pair, so I turn the left sock inside out and voilà, I have two right socks! I wear them overnight while sleeping, and sometimes will pair a single sock with a regular sock and wear them in urging the day in my shoes. They really make my foot more comfortable, especially at night. Really like them, and they’r nice and soft as well!

OK, nice socks but, they're just ordinary toe socks really. I can get 6 pair online for the price this one pair and have ALL my toes separated. Unfortunately, there's no padding where some would be useful: the bump on the side of the foot. There's just a separation of big toe from the rest of toes, not really of particular help for bunion. Having said that, I think there's nothing useful to help bunion pain in the form of a sock. Relief comes in a more drastic form and sometimes we just have to go through all the other possibilities first.

Bunion surgery did not provide a permanent solution, so I'm always looking for things to ease the pain and prevent new problems. Previously, I could only find PRC-made socks with the split toe and they were usually too tight as well as flimsy. I bought Sockwell socks several years ago and they have worn well, so I decided to try these despite the price. Having just spent a long day chasing after a young grandchild, I'm happy with my purchase. The socks prevented skin discomfort and didn't add a lot of bulk to make shoes feel too tight.

I'm in my mid-40's and have had bunion pain for about 5 years that makes it so hard to exercise. The shoes rub against the bunion and my toes always seem to bunch up a bit and it makes them go numb and everything hurts later. I went and got some better shoes at a good shoe store and they recommended I go up half a size. That helped a lot! Then I searched for bunion socks and saw these had good reviews. I LOVE them. If you have any toe issues between the big toe and 2nd toe they nicely separate them without the material inside seeming too thick. It's just right! I have no more toe issues when exercising because they keep them in their places (and I do think having a bigger shoe size helped a lot). The only thing I feel is missing is that I thought they'd have a little padding on the joint/bunion area to help with shoe friction, but they don't. I don't guess the ad said either way, I probably just assumed it. That would help a lot and I feel it's missing. To help with this, I bought some wooden shoe stretchers that have little bunion plastic add-on's and they stretched my shoes out nicely and it helped that some. They also make products you can use to pad that part of your foot if you do some looking. Bunions, the bane of my existence, aren't so bad now! One more recommendation, an elliptical seems to be the best exercise to get cardio simply because my foot does not leave the ground to "rub" and these socks help the toe numbness. I could not use the elliptical much prior to these socks. I hope my review helps someone!

I didn't notice until I had washed the socks that I had two for the right foot, no left foot. My bunion is on my left foot, so these are useless to me. My mistake in not checking, but it didn’t occur to me they would be packaged wrong. I don’t think I can return them since I’ve washed them and thrown away the package.
