I suppose that these set are not those "commercial grade" equipment compared to the ones we used during some snorkeling tours. But I am generally happy with them since they worked just fine for our casual snorkeling during our Hawaii vacation. The local tip we learned for anti fog effect was to spray baby shampoo to the lances. This method was used even during the snorkeling tours when they claim providing "premier equipment". The price was very reasonable for two so I recommend them if you just want to use they occasionally.

I received this set of two masks and two snorkels. They are very nice looking masks and snorkels. I was hopeful that that they would work in the pool, where I do most of my swimming these days. I've been using my heavier dive mask and snorkel that I use in the ocean, and wanted to see if this lighter weight set could work at the pool. I attached the black snorkel to the black mask by carefully undoing the mask strap. I gently pushed the right side end piece under the fastener, flattening the notched part of the strap, to free it and pull it out. I then fed the detached end of the mask strap through the snorkel clip, and re-fed the end back into the fastener. I was thinking a little liquid dish soap could have made it easier by lubricating the strap end piece and making it easier to flatten and pull out the strap end. So the snorkel was attached to the right side of my mask, which is my preference. I had soaked the mask and snorkel in mild dish soap overnight to help eliminate any rubber taste or smell. I did notice a slight odor of rubber upon unpacking. Soaking overnight and thoroughly rinsing did the trick. No more smell or funny taste on the snorkel mouthpiece. When I got to the pool I tried placing the mask over my swim cap. It was just a little tight, so I loosened the strap a small amount. The mask had a great seal and did not allow water in. The anti-fog feature made the visibility below the surface great! The snorkel worked well and did not take in any pool water. The only thing I need to get used to is that the mouth piece is a little thinner than on my other snorkel, so it doesn't feel as solid when I bite down on it and it feels like the snorkel could wiggle more than I'm used to. However, the thinner mouthpiece may be a little easier on my jaws, and didn't actually result in excess movement of the snorkel during my testing today, so that's good. I do plan to continue using it at the pool and become even more comfortable with it. Used the mask and snorkel in the pool again today and it worked well. Visibility good and no water leaked into the mask or the snorkel. Based on how it worked in the pool, this set should work well in the ocean too, especially in calm, tropical water. It's great that you get two sets of masks and snorkels. It's more fun and safer to have a snorkel buddy with you any time you are in the ocean, especially while traveling.

For the price this is a great set for beginners with many great features: 1. It's nice that it comes with two sets in different colors (so you don't get them mixed up for germaphobes!) 2. The wide view mask is great; however I don't agree that it's truly panoramic. But it does provide a great view. 3. The tempered glass lens stays clear (just breath through your mouth and not your nose!) 4. The mesh bag helps in drying everything out during travel and storage. 5. The purge valve is great if you need to blow out any water (my other masks have this and it's a major plus) 6. The tube is flexible and doesn't kink. 7. The dry top is also helpful if you have a wave come over you or if you are the type that likes to dive down while snorkeling. 8. The strap is adjustable; however, they are at the last notch of the strap so if you have a larger head, these may not be for you. Some things to consider: 1. If you want a true panoramic view, look for a mask that doesn't cover the bridge of the nose. Don't get me wrong as these are a great view, but there are others that provide a much larger view. Especially for those snorkeling in the ocean. 2. Give yourself a couple of weeks before using them as initially there is a rubber odor to them upon opening the package. (I don't recommend breathing or tasting chemicals!) Note: The best way to double-check the fit of a mask is to place it on your face without the strap; breathe in through your nose to provide suction and look down at the ground. The make should stay in place and feel very secure. If it falls or you feel a leak then try a different mask. Also, if you are using them in salt water make sure you rinse them well after getting out of the water. With all that said I still recommend these for the price since you get two sets and they work well. I will update this review if we have any long-term issues with them. So know that no news is good news!

I bought this Snorkeling Gear Set for a recent beach trip, and it performed flawlessly. It’s a massive step up from the cheap rental gear you usually find at resorts.
