I purchased a 40x scope with a 1" tube for an older rifle and loved it so much, I purchased this one with 60x magnification. I doubt I would ever need that much, but it was fun to think about and a great price. When I tried to mount the larger scope, I was having issues. I emailed Texas Optical and they were super helpful and sent extra rings to help solve the problem FOR FREE! It turns out, I was not mounting the rings properly and both scopes work great and are amazing quality. The best part is finding a company with such excellent customer service...it is far too rare these days. Thank you! ... show more

havnit installed it yet. looks great aand seems like good workmenship. and will install it on a rugerr 10/22 precision used for bullseye shooting at 50 too 100 yards. with this scope hope to reach out to 2-300+ yards

I'm not going to get all bubbly in this review, but here are my findings: If you like vector optics, ( I do), you will love this scope! It is the same as Vector Minotaur, but this scope has a waaaay better reticle! The clarity is usable, just somewhat behind my high dollar 60x. I scanned objects from 900yds to 2200yds ( Measured), these distances are the real test for clarity. If you are not experienced with mega magnification, you will find the tight eyebox frustrating, but again, it is very usable. Eye relief is a full 4 inches at 60x! Very heavy, I can't wait to try it on a heavy benchrest rifle. Will post again after I run it thru its paces ... show more

8/23 I now have 2 of these and like that the illumination buttons are now black with white lettering verses the gawky red and green ones on the earlier release. Turrets are excellent with huge color coded easy to read marks and clicks are crisp and solid. The lift up to turn rotators have aggressive indentation that make adjusting with mittons ( thick gloves ) easy. Clarity degrades after 50x zoom but is managable. focus knob on the unit I rec i eved is quite stiff without the wheel attachment but some would say that is a good thing,depending. NICE case as always amd came with 2 batteries. Illuminating reticles crisp and clear and adjustible intensity with dedicated levels by pushing the up or down arrow buttons. came with picatinny mount. EYE RELIEF IS AWESUM! YES it is HEAVY and long and even longer with sun shade on. For some people it can make your rifle a chore to hold but will certainly reduce felt recoil. THE BEST THING IS THE COMPANY STANDS BY IT'S LIFETIME WARRANTY REGARDLESS OF OWNER. YOU SIMPLY CALL THE COMPANY IN TEXAS AND THEY IMMEDIATELY SEND YOU A PREPAID SHIPPING LABEL . WOW! ... show more

    • Couldn't zero the scope at 25 yards. Maxed out the elevation turret and it was still too low.
Elevation turret was maxed and still couldn't zero scope. Windage turret did not seem to move reticle. Bottom line: couldn't zero scope at 25 yards. Hence, no evaluation of accuracy. Also, I am not too happy that I had to pay $32.20 to UPS for the box to return it. So much for free shipping! I also spent $20 for a guest pass at the range, wasted $20 worth of ammuntion, and then bought a $70 dollar picatinny rail (that I didn't need) because a gunsmith said that might be the problem (it wasn't.) It shot a foot left at 25 yard; it would take almost 400 clicks to center the group. ... show more

Optics are very high quality. At 50yds you can easily read fine print on the target and hitting a target at 1000yds is no problem. No need for a spotting scope. Precise adjustment holds true even after several hundred rounds of 300 win mag.

Too good to be true can't say for sure but I'm giving this a chance only issue right now is the rings that came with it are way to high looks great just can't get a bore sight to line up so ordered some more rings hope this fixes the issue. The glass is better than I expected when new rings get in, I will update and test it out and review this again. ... show more
