So, I was unsure about buying a standing desk through Amazon, just because I know that the quality is different from seller to seller and I had seen some in different stores and the prices were considerably higher than what this desk was selling for... Ok, so I took the chance and bought this one for my office upstairs. Now to be honest, It sat in the box for almost 2 months before I decided to put it together. Now that was risky because it now fell outside of the return window, so I would not be able to return it if there was something wrong... So, let me tell you... This is an AWESOME desk that functions GREAT! it took about 30 minutes to put together because I am a stickler for details and I needed to make sure that I was wearing my glasses so that I could read the instructions. LOL. But once together, the raising and lowering is smooth and seamless. it currently holds my Apple Mac mini, a 45" wide screen monitor, 2 desk speakers, an apple home pod and other smaller items that are needed for me to work... There are no drawers but that is fine because I have storage bins and a cabinet for those items. MY only suggestion would be this... Make Sure that you have cables that are long enough and secure enough that when you either secure them somehow under the desk, in order for you not to pull them out by mistake with your feet, just make sure that when you raise the desk to its max height, that they are not to short where desktop items get pulled off by mistake.     • Pretty good for the price

My only complaint is that the seam doesn't line up perfectly between the two halves of the top and there is a very small height difference (probably less than 1mm) at a couple spots where they meet... They could likely solve this by adding a couple more dowels and plates between them, but it realistically has zero effect on the functionality of the desk and it just bothers me slightly because I know it isn't perfect... Takes about 10 seconds to go from lowest height setting to the highest, but the highest is pretty high... I am 5'7 and it goes well past where I would ever need it to... Seems sturdy enough for a pressboard top desk and the motor seems like it will be reliable enough... I use it as a light duty workbench for watches, cleaning my guns, and working on electronics and computers... The storage hooks on the sides are a nice touch, Idk how much weight they hold as I use one side for headphones and the other for my VR controllers which are both pretty light... Assembly was quick and very easy, the hardest part is flipping it over by yourself when you are done... It has 3 memory positions which makes going from sitting to standing easy and consistent, and I use the third for getting it close to my face for detailed work... For being the cheapest standing desk in the size I wanted that I could find at the time I bought it, the quality exceeded my expectations... At some point I may make a nicer single piece wood top to replace the pressboard, but that probably won't be because it needs it, but more for aesthetics and to get rid of the seam between the two halves... ... show more
