Silicone inside strap all melted and like glue, it sticks to everything and gets all over. Sent one back thinking it was just a bad pair but replacement had same problem but worse!! Packed terrible in bag so box was all ripped both times it got delivered. Going to return this one too and order straight from smith like I should have in the first place ... show more

I saw that in some reviews for these goggles people were complaining of defective anti slip gummy stuff that’s put on the straps to keep the straps from sliding around on helmet. The pair that I received are perfectly normal.

    • Great Goggles and almost fog-free. Supremely comfortable but the lens are easily scratchable.

This is the non-low bridge fit/ non-asian fit version so know what you are buying. The low bridge fit version never goes on sale so I have bite the bullet on this one. I have bought an cheap aftermarket bridge foam and it works okay. It is a shame that the low bridge fit would be superior for comfort for almost anyone but that extra inch of foam is not officially available with a sale. This is my first proper and "expensive" snow goggle. Comes with spare lens, both works MILES better than cheap lens for off-branded/generic ones I had before; very comfortable and I never had to take this off in any situation. Lens changing is a breeze with the magnetic mechanism and I liked the extra peace of mind with the latches (which is not present with Anons) Fully compatible with Smith helmets too and little fog built-up despite extremely snowy and windy days I had in peak Niseko. The lens are prone to scratches and I already has a few marks in just a few days of riding; just wished they are a bit more resistant to scratches. ... show more

    • Strap covered in goo
The goggles themselves are great, but the strap is covered in sticky goo. The silicon non-slip beads seem that have melted into a sticky mess that gets everywhere and can't easily by wiped or washed off the strap. Basically makes them unusable.

Lots of bad reviews for the strap silicon becoming sticky. Smith Optics replaced my goggles under warranty for that reason.
