  • Compact and convenient
Like Smith's "Little Torch" itself, this stand doesn't take up much space: that base can't cover the palm of my hand, and the whole thing is barely 6" tall. It does the job just fine, though. That magnetic grip holds the torch firmly, but lets go without a struggle. Holes in the base keep your extra tips conveniently at hand. A non-skid layer underneath helps keep it steady and protects the surface under the heavy metal base. This isn't a must-have for Little Torch users - you could make a workable stand easily enough, or not bother. It helps keep your workbench neat and organized, though, and that's a real plus for the shop that's short on space. -- wiredweird ... show more

  • Little Torch Stand
This stand is so helpful! I been using the box that the torch came with to hold everything with because I thought the price of the stand was a little too much for something not really necessary. Well after I got a good paycheck I decided I would treat myself to something and got this. Well I have no idea why I thought I would not need it because its amazing! I have a little station now and when I'm looking for a size flame nozzle the stand has it in big numbers and in order so you can just quickly grab it and use it. The stand itself is very useful as well now when I'm between uses I don't have to put it on the table and worry if it's too hot or if it turns on what will happen. Everything is all just there and now I just need to turn the nozzles to the gas and air on and light it, that simple! Way better then my old system of doing things haha. ... show more

  • You'll never go back
I have used the smith little torch for a long time, for jewelry soldering and for small scale oxy-acetylene welding. I have always rigged some sort of clip (like the springy metal ones used for grabbing a broom handle) to attach to my work table. This way, you can set the torch and set it to the side if you need to move around parts or set up your next connection. I waited many years thinking this thing wasn't worth the money, but I was dead wrong! This stand is a game-changer! I will never go back. It is so easy to snap the torch onto and off of, especially if you are wearing your dark tint safety glasses. It is worth twice the price if you use one of these torches on a weekly basis, for sure! Buy it, you won't regret it for a second! ... show more

  • Very handy for Little Torch Users
This is the ultimate for anyone using the Smith Little Torch! your tips have a small slot to call home, your torch gets a magnet that keeps it attached to the stand, it is very handing while working at the soldering bench. Buy it now!

  • Very happy with this handy piece of equipment in my jewelry ...
Very happy with this handy piece of equipment in my jewelry studio. I use a standard torch and with a tiny bit of adjustment to the clasp, it also is strong enough to hold it. I just opened the oval clasp piece a bit wider. It does sometimes drop off, because the standard size torch is larger and heavier than a Smith Little torch, but it's not often. I just make sure that when I plop it on the magnetic piece that it's at an angle that's curved towards the magnet versus away from it. Very handy to not worry about laying this down hot or having it fall off work area. ... show more

  • This is the real thing
I was worried that this stand might be a cheap knock-off, but it's not - it's the real thing and fits my Smith Little tips perfectly. The magnet is plenty strong to hold the torch (nice to know when you've been brazing a lot!) and it's at a convenient angle too. It's also hefty enough that I don't worry that it and a hot torch will go tumbling off my bench if I'm a bit preoccupied when I use it. I highly recommend this stand! ... show more

  • Compact but a little awkward
It doesn’t hold the tips well nor the torch, but if you can keep from shaking it or bumping it they will stay in. I like it’s size and portability a lot. Doesn’t take up much space (which we all know is precious within arms reach of the bench AND it is pretty sturdy for its size.
