I love the starter kit...the Echo Hub is very nice and the accessories (plugs, bulbs etc) are very easy and quick to set up. This is a good way to get started, and then add additional devices (even cross platform)--ie Ring Devices, Kasa Smart Switches etc.

Echo Hub died after five months of use. Seemed great at first and then it turned off and wouldn’t come back on. Thought it might be a power issue but it didn’t matter where it was plugged in. Pretty surprised because all my other Echo products have worked fine. Great concept but needs some work.
