If you don't need a QR plate for Arca, then you can use the 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 threaded hole on the bottom of the plate to mount the quick release plate you need, such as for Manfrotto etc.
  • Smart Rotatable Design: The V-Mount plate can be rotated and adjusted by 180. Adjust forward for convenient storage, adjust backward for enough space to open the camera flip screen. This rotating design does not require you to remove the battery first, which effectively saves time. And it also with pivot dampening preventing your device from falling.

SmallRig has once again exceeded my expectations! Their mounting plate is a game-changer, as it has halved the weight of my rig. In the past, I would have required a rod setup with a separate v-mount adapter. However, the clever mechanism of this plate has eliminated that need. Good Battery Mount. Nice and small. I was aggravated that my PD bases would not fit but I discovered that if I used Neewer QR-5 bases in place of the SmallRig QR base. the QR-5 fit my peak clips and the slot in the Small Rig battery mount. With a QR base on the battery mount on, you can not set the camera down flat unless you have a mat box on the front of the camera because it wants to tip over. ... show more

I own the original version of the Smallrig V-Mount plate which I think is one of the best products Smallrig has ever designed and produced. It's the perfect solution for building compact cinema rigs using cameras like a Canon R5C or a Sony FX3/30. The 4064B update version only improves on the already excellent original version. Three notable changes/improvements- - There are fewer 1/4-20 mounting points on the battery mounting plate. I don't know what this change accomplishes, but since those mounting points probably don't get used a ton, I don't think it'll affect many people upgrading to the new version. - The twist knob that locks the folding hinge in place is now a more ergonomic thumb screw, instead of the older round knob. It makes locking and unlocking the unit after folding or unfolding it much easier. - the square Arca-Swiss quick release mounting point at the bottom is now removable, allowing users to mount their own quick release solution. Just as with the original, the unit is well-made and solid, and works perfectly. Highly recommended. ... show more

I've got a Neewer cage for my Canon R6MkII and this plate fits the bottom of it perfectly. I was looking for something that wouldn't add much to the height of my rig and this was perfect. Even make it easy to fold out the viewfinder while keeping the battery on. Highly recommended.
